I decided to treat my mum and me to a short break to AbuDhabi last year and choose the Millennium Hotel to stay in. We managed to find a taxi easily enough at AbuDhabi airport and after a short drive (30mins) we arrived at the hotel. On first impressions I was a little disappointed. I had all these grand images in my head, but in reality the hotel seemed pretty standard.
The room itself was quite basic (considering the price we paid), but it was clean and the beds were very comfortable.
The hotel does have a nice swimming pool (although a little on the small side) and area for catching some sun.
Getting around AbuDhabi was fairly easy, taxi's are always available and very cheap.

I wasn't expecting too much from this hotel, but was pleasantly surprised. My husband was being sent on a few days business trip to Dubai during the school half term, and I decided to tag along at the last minute with our two kids. With only a day to go I didn't expect a great choice of hotels. Sure enough, the only hotels coming up with suitable vacancies were the Kempinski at $850 a night (no thank you!) and this one, at $170 a night. I was a bit confused though as several hotel finder sites put it as Dubai, but the address was AbuDhabi. Looking on the map we found why, it is nearly exactly haflway between the two emirates. As my husband was working quite nearby and we had a hire car, this was not a problem. removed. Then it was time to pay, we waited for more than half an hour for our change. It was a considerable amount and we were not going to leave that big a tip! It was after asking the other waiters for our receipt did we finally get our change.
We returned some time later... for a company function. It was not impressive.

I was there during easter 2005.
what can i say? it's has truly good service. especially after my experience in Adana. There are 3 Hiltons in AbuDhabi alone, and it's easy to make your way to the wrong one. But fear not, the staff are wonderfully helpful! even in the early hours of 3am. it erased the blimp Hotel Adana made.
