Back in June I attended a Ciao meet in Dundee which was organised by the lovely Belinda (belfin to you all) and wanted to stay in nearby Arbroath from Friday to Sunday so I could attend Belinda's hen night celebrations. I didn't want anything too expensive but also wanted a little comfort and so thought a guesthouse would be my best bet.
So scouring the internet I came up with a few possibilities and this seemed ideal for my needs.
I used the www.hotelsandguesthouses.net website to search for my accommodation; this is where each guesthouse has their own advertising page and where you can contact them from. I decided upon Scurdy guesthouse. (I know this review is about Kingsley; all will be made clear as you read on)

My husband and I visited York city for 4 days during September 2009. The base for our stay was a B&B named Holmlea Guesthouse.
Why we chose it?
Before we started our trip we searched on the internet trying to find reasonably priced accommodation that ideally was close to the tourist areas of York. Most B&Bs and hotels we found charged at least £60 for a double room per night. However Holmlea was an exception. On their own website they advertised £45 for a double room with private bathroom, but not en-suite. Personally I?m not used to a room without an en-suite bathroom, so I hesitated to choose Holmlea. We searched again and found even if you were prepared to pay £60 we still couldn?t get a room with en-suite bathroom. So we decided to take a chance with Holmlea.

Advantages: Good place for Forro Disadvantages: None
Fortaleza is the capital of the State of Ceara, one of the less developed of Brazil. Fortaleza is a very large and modern city. I spent1 day there guest of a German student who was doing a research on the life of the local people in a favela (shantytown). The lack of hygene was one of the major issues for this people, together with the lack of education and employment. Strikingly enough, a relatively large number of houses had satellite TV, while the ordinary TV was to be found in the majority of properties and as constantly on. There are nice beaches only 20KM away form the city and you should go to a place where they dance Forro, the local dance. ...
