Advantages: Great products at low prices Disadvantages: Long queues and some products a little tacky
Card buying can be an expensive thing, especially at this time of year and as much as I love the quality of the cards in stores such as Clintons, with my large family I just cannot afford to buy all my family cards from stores such as these at Christmas. Their cards are priced at 59p for a small card, 89p for a medium card and 99p for a large card, which for me is excellent value for money. They do extra large cards which do cost a bit more and they also do a couple of cards in each range for just ...

Advantages: Cheap; loads of my fav biccie; different ways to eat them Disadvantages: n/a
I am a complete sucker for custard cream biscuits. Ok, so they are not the most 'fancy, posh' biscuit compared to all the others out there and are generally considered as the 'traditional old skool' biccie that comes in out every biscuit variety pack and gets left out in the biscuit barrel in favour of the chocolate digestives etc...but I love them! The only problem his poses is that if I walk into a newsagents, I will stand there for absolutely ages debating with myself 'Shall I buy the galaxy caramel for 40p which will last only a couple of minutes, or shall I get a big pack of custard creams which will last several days and bring more ...
Advantages: Excellent value, good quality, budget buy Disadvantages: No ring pull on can
Review of Asda Smart Price ready to serve custardCustard has long been a favourite dessert topping in my family, whether it be served hot with a traditional apple pie or steamed pud or cold with something a little more exotic, custard is often on the menu at Chez Brittle!
The thing is, I am a lazy cook and cannot be bothered to make custard from scratch with eggs and I find even the custard powder type of mix is an effort, the instant 'just add water' custard mixes are not up to the mark in my view, so canned-ready- to-serve is the road to follow.
Branded custards of this type have become ridiculously expensive recently, so when I spotted Asda's Smart Price custard, it had to be tried!
The Product
As the name implies as ready to serve custard presented in a can. As part of the Smart Price budget range, this product is ...
