Cusworth hall is a beautiful day out. As i live in doncaster i am lucky enough to be able to visit it frequently.
It is a grand statley home with a victorian museum inside. Complete with beautiful grounds and lakes. Throughout the grounds you may be lucky enough to view certain wildlife like; mallards, kingfishers, toads, bats, fish and many more.
It is situated on a hill, and in the winter when it snows- its fantastic for winter sports such as sledging.
The victorian museum is very worthwhile seeing. Items such as fashion through the decades, toys, medical, nursery, kitchen are to name a few. It is a great educational trip for young students!!!
There is a car park, which is a small fee and more importantly it has wheelchair access. There is also a small cafe, which offers cream cakes and tea. Facilities such as toilets, and dog bowels are also available.
In July 2007 my brother hosted his wedding reception on the driveway of this estate in a large marquee, and was the first to do so. It was a great reception, and i hope other people will take advantage of this opportunity.
Hope you enjoy your visit, and find the museum very educational!
