Visiting czech republic
Review of General: Czech Republic by sansilver

Advantages: value for money, easy to get by in prague ,good for sightseeing
Disadvantages: pickpockets in underground stations, some taxi drivers will overprice you

I've been to a few places in czech republic namely prague, pardubice, Hradec kralove, Brno, Olomouc. Prague is like almost all major cities in europe with a blend of people of different religion and culture. Transport system is excellent surprisingly ive never encountered any delays within the country itself except during this one winter where they didnt expect the snow so early. All flights were cancelled and delays on train lines. I found prague ...
...in a country where there are no electronic shops!! If you are into drinkin beer then this is definetly the place to be!!Dont forget to have a shot of the famous absinthe!! Nightlife is quitevarried. Its useful to have a chat with people who have been there before. Radnost is decent for hip hop and RNB music, Duplex is quite impressive with a few floors playing different kinds of music ranging from techno to garage. Lolz and for those who are planning ... Czech Holiday of an Englishman
Review of Czech Trails by Pugz1

Advantages: Fantastic Scenary & lots of history
Disadvantages: Limited Communications

...the Southwest Regions, with my Czech girlfirend. Sightseeing is great. We saw a whole variety of sights which I will go through, believe me, if you have not been, I would recommend it to anyone. The "Katakomby" was brilliant, well presented, however, I feel there could have been a little more information in relation to how the "mummies" were discovered. As for the presentation, again, I was impressed. They are situated in a crypt and all are in a ...
...it is not to a Czech person on minimum wage, yet they have so much to offer us that money can not buy.... More examples:- In England, certainly in Southern England, you will struggle to find a river or lake to swim in, however, in Czech, we swam @ 3 seperate locations, the first was a "pond" in a village next to Bolesiny, this was the size of maybe half a football pitch, as it was warm and had been for a little while (approx few weeks), the water ... Up the Krivoklat without a paddle
Review of Krivoklat (Czech Republic) by muiguifa

Advantages: Interesting, Educational, Beautiful, Affordable
Disadvantages: It's up a hill but apart from that none

...started to descend. Krivoklat was in deep sleep. The darkness of the night wasn’t disturbed by the moonlight and that just helped my plan. Nothing, not even the guards were stirring. Maybe the trust of those impregnable walls and height in which I was kept reassured them. Freedom was calling. The hope of getting away from and far beyond the borders of this country was rising just at the bottom of this tower. And the sweet voice of England, my motherland, ...
...the ages is now called Krivoklat (Originally named the Little Castle). It was erected at the beginning of the 12th century and its purpose was not only for protection and recreation, it also served as a prison. When visiting the castle you can ponder upon several dozens of torture devices still preserved in the castled dungeons. The idea of getting into a prison nowadays has never appealed to me but in them days….believe me….you were screwed!!! Throughout ... Read review

Cesky Cesky Bang Bang
Review of Ceske Krumlov (Czech Republic) by muiguifa

Advantages: Too many to list
Disadvantages: Doesn't really reflect the real Czech comunity

...need to change trains in Ceske Budejovice. A big down point for taking a train is the fact that the Cesky Krumlov Train station is a bit of a walk from the town centre. Where the bus takes you straight to the heart of this Czech beauty, you will have to sweat up the hill on your hike from the train station. The ride also takes that extra bit longer to compete with the coach. But the decision is yours. WHERE TO STAY? Cesky Krumlov thrives on the ...
...sort of accommodation on offer. From hostels with beds for a mere 200* Czech Koruna to high standard hotels for which you can fork out thousands if you want to. I would advise you to book somewhere, even just for the first night. There should not be a problem in finding a place to stay but no one wants to be stranded in the middle of the night, do they. Most of the accommodation is well advertised on internet or by travel agents and people in CK ... Read review

Brno:An alternative Czech city.
Review of Brno (Czech Republic) by canIdo

Advantages: Compact city with good shopping centre.Much less commercial than Prague,it has fewer cultural or historical sights of interest.Several hotels situated on Lake Brno offer good value for money and are only a short train journey into the city centre.
Disadvantages: Some distance from other Czech tourist areas.Brno doesnt have the cultural attraction of Prague.

We visited Brno during the sumer of 2003. We stayed in a hotel overloking Lake Brno during a period of glorious weather. For less that £100 per night we had a suite of 2 double rooms, living room two bathrooms and dressing area and two balconies. Brno lake is a short distance from the city centre and is linked by suburban trainline. The lakeside has several restaurants and bars, mini-golf boat-trips. Brno centre is mainly pedestrianised and is ...
...As Brno is very much less commercialised than Prague eating out is very much cheaper.Brno has a good range of eating places. We ate most nights at Brno Lake on a balcony overlooking the lake. Woth a visit to experience an ordinary as opposed to tourist, focused czech city. ... Read review
