Advantages: A great relaxing way of Getting to Scandinavia Disadvantages: No England to Oslo route
...I have travelled with DFDS 6 times now, and have enjoyed every sailing. The route I have used most regularily is the Harwich - Esjberg route, as it is nearer than Newcastle, and a relitavely short(ish) drive accross Denmark to Sweden. The ship at the time was the Dana Anglia, despite being an old ship, was surprisingly comfortable, with larger cabins than most ferries I have travled on. So in this op, I'm not just going to give you details of what the service is like now, I would also like to discuss how it compares to the service I've received in the past from this company.
Brochures - I had received the DFDS brochures in the post after requesting them through their website - www.dfdsseaways.co.uk. The brochures are - Sailings and Fares (ferry timetable and prices per route per season); Escape (touring holidays to Denmark, Germany, Sweden or Holland); City Cruisebreaks. There is a fourth brochure for mini breaks, but I didn't bother getting...
