Hi, I'm Chris
I like: life, chocolate cake, real ale, espresso, travel, outdoor activities, jesus, short reviews.
I don't like: miserable music, concrete, cod in batter, aggressive behaviour, pop-up ads, long reviews.
Happy ciaoing!

A large group of us visited this restaurant. We encountered a number of problems, including slow service, an unexpected service charge (£60) for large groups and small, disappointing main courses. I never expect to be asked to pass plates down the table, but I was at Da Vinci's. The atmosphere was otherwise pleasant enough. Main courses were very ordinary and £8 for a plate of cannelloni may seem ok in London but in Newcastle there are many restaurants of this standard charging half this! The espresso was excellent and the starters imaginative but the argument about the service charge left us with a more bitter taste in our mouths. There is much better food and service elsewhere in this city of dozens of Italian eating places.
