If Ho Chi Minh is a new ,energetic with lots of people and the life seems to go on a bit fast, Dalat is completely different .Peaceful, romantic is what Dalat actually is.
= How to?? and the weather=__
Located in Lamdong province, Dalat is just about 300 km away from Ho Chi Minh city, which usualy takes 4 hours to get there. If it's misty, you may have to spend some more time on the bus, but , in fact that's what the tourists usually like. Especialy in summer , when almost all other region is Viet Nam is fairly hot(from 30 to 35*C and even 40*C), Dalat's temperature is just about 15-20*C . Therefore, if you got used to Vietnam weather already, bring some warm clothes.It might be helpful. Moreover, the bus fee is 7$ , so cheap, isn't it?
=Where to?? and the food=__
Get off the bus, looking around, you may not find any 'special thing' , but hang on, now you need local people to show you around. They are sometimes, even more helpful and more friendly than the tour guide.
And now, you know there are a lot of places to visit around Dalat ,and might take time to see them all, so it's time to choose which one should you go for. For me, in my opinion based on my own experience, I would recommend some names :
1. Thac Cam Ly--- Cam Ly waterfall.
Such an amazing, gorgeous waterfall, honestly I haven't seen any as beautiful as this one. Also, right behind the waterfall, there is a small cave so they built a wooden bridge there. So that allow you to stand behind the Cam Ly watching its water dropping down. That was a wonderful moment.
2. Ho Than Tho--- Lake of sighs.
A beautiful lake, just a bit gloomy because years ago, a sad lovestory happen in this area. There was some misunderstandings between the couple and then they both die cause feeling painful in love. their graves is on the hill, nearby the lake, it's called the pine's hill of 2 graves.
3. The Love valley
Also about love, this valley is full of romantic atmostphere. Hundreds kinds of flower are used to make words of love , and some other love symbols. It's very very colorful and for couple those are in love, this is the best place to go.
4.Xuan Huong lake
About 5km2 big, in the middle of Dalat. It's worth going at night when the lights are around. It's quite big so going on foot might not be a good idea, but instead, you should get on a horse- drawn carriage . Sitting on the carriage, all you can hear is the cloc-cloc sound of hoof of horse, all you can see is the dark falls down, with some lights appear somewhere, all you can feel is a gently wind, and all you can smell is the lovely smell of flowers, spreading in the air. What a feeling of peace...
=Restaurants and hotels=__
Actually, I haven't try many kinds of food in here but I would say it's on an average level or satisfied. The hotels are really nice, with beautiful views in the morning and you can sleep really well at night due to the fresh air and peaceful atmostphere.
Anyway, this a worth spending money and time to go and especially with your family or your love. Thank you for reading
