Dalia Hotel, Corfu

Advantages: Cheap, good atmosphere
Disadvantages: Old and in need of a tidy up

...Coral Hotel, Roda Corfu INTRO Not knowing where to go for hols this year we decided to convert our Tesco vouchers and go for a free holiday. The one place that always seemed to come up was the Corel Hotel in Corfu. All the pictures and info on the net pointed to a good family run hotel in a nice area of Corfu. LOCATION The hotel is situated on the outskirts of RODA which itself is about an hour and a half from Corfu Town and the airport. The hotel itself is literally a small stones throw from the beach. Alas that's a pebble beach but its still right on the sea. When we arrived I was pleasantly surprised at the location. There's about a 10 mile stretch of water between Corfu and the mountains of Albania. Stick all of this together and you have nothing short of a fantastic location. Advantages: wonderful hotel
Disadvantages: drinks cheaper at pubs over the road.

...My husband and I went to this 4* thomson platinum hotel last October for our anniversary and we loved it. There are 2 sister hotels next door to each other and have wonderful panoramic views from the restaurants, you can use the facilities of both hotels but I would say The Dassia Chandris caters more for the children. We stayed in the Corfu Chandris it also as apartments and bungalows set in well manicured grounds, the other hotel is the Dassia Chandris both set on the beach and views are beautiful!! The weather was glorious apart from one day rain. Bedrooms were large and airy with lovely 6ft size bed,tv,lounge area, mini-fridge(though drinks were expensive from here and the bar). ...This charming small hotel in the NW of Corfu in Agios Stefanos or as Thomson calls the resort San Stefanos is ideal for all ages. I read reviews on other sites and I concur with them as one of the best on the island. The traditional Greek food was one of the best I ever had in Greece cooked by the owner's mum, Theodora and the staff is not only friendly but very profesional. Speros the owner is very helpful to explain to you the Greek dishes his mum makes and I was especially surprised at the excellent variety of wines this small hotel offered. The beach is just 50 meters to the hotel and it never really full even in the peak season. It's ideal for children and couples alike. It's not a busy resort and I would not recomend it to people that would like a action filled holiday but having said this there is plenty of bars for one... Read review
