Advantages: Happy and Friendly Disadvantages: Can be scatty and prone to deafness
I own two dogs, a doberman and a dalmatian. Hugo the dalmatian is a special little dog, he's deaf. Which happens to 1 in 4 dalmatians and unfortunately is a problem in the breed.
We had no idea he was deaf when we first went to see him at 3 weeks old and then at 6 weeks we got a phone call from his breeder saying she thinks hes deaf, and as she was a member of the breed society deaf dalmatians have to be put down. I aruged the point with her, which she understood and I said I would have him as he is at 6 weeks old.
We picked him up from Lancashire and took him home. Bergen our other dog was scared silly of this spotted little puppy!
At 7 weeks old we took him to the referral hospital at Ellesmere Port in Cheshire for his hearing test. This day was the most upsetting day because it was confirmed that he was deaf. This might sound silly ...

Advantages: A lot of good tracks with different moods Disadvantages: A few tracks where the vocals aren't quite clear enough
was pretty AND talented, a rather awesome package in just 1 person.
If you didn't like redheads there was Emma Anderson - she of the dark haired persuasion, also singing & playing guitar and owning a pair of legs that go right up to her neck as well writing some of the songs into the bargain. And if you don't like girls there was always the rather gothic Phil King on bass or the sadly now deceased Chris Acland providing rather awesome drums that melded together the very different sound palette that was Lush.
So the band had something for everyone, be you boy, girl or small fluffy creature from Alpha Centuri (I think Miki had them covered). Split was their 2nd album release arriving in June of 1994, all songs were either written by Miki or Emma apart from Starlust which was a joint effort.
So whats on Split then?

--~-- The Story --~--
Well, I think everybody knows the story of 101 Dalmatians.
It all starts off with a dog named Pongo on a search for mates for him at his owner Roger (although the story is narrated from the dogs' point of view, and so the adults are seen as the pets). The lovable rogue after spotting a potential mate, takes his owner to the park, were he tries his hardest to get them to notice each other. It's not an easy task. And after several failed attempts they end up tied ...
