This was an excuse for two oldies to get dirty, just like the kids.

We were on holiday in Olu Deniz, booked this tour online with Caroltayfun before we left England.

Online price £15 per person, the on;y extra £1 entry to nature resort of Turtle Beach.

Picked up at Hotel in tour Bus, approx 40 others.

Drove to Daylan River, with short stop at the Gold factory.
Most tours if not all 99%, will include a stop at either a carpet Factory or Gold Shop.
Our advice if you are not interested, then politely say you will wait outside, there is always a Cafe around the side or rear of the place.

When reached the Daylan River we were put into two boats so as not to crowd us, this meant everyone could stretch out and enjoy the view.
On board there is an Ice Box, help yourself and pay the boatman, Large bottle (500ml) of Efes Beer 5tl (£1.70)

The first part is upriver to where the Mud Bath is, on route plent of wildlife to see, plenty of Birds.

When you get to the Mud Bath we were help off shore for about 20 mins as another boat had beaten us to it.
The Mud Bath itself is the size of a small swiming pool. Entry be careful as steps slipery, you then find your feet sinking into the mud.
You need to dig down with your hands and then splodge it over friend and foe alike.
Wish we had had the grandkids with us.

When you have had enough, the idea is you sit in the sun and let it dry on you.

Then to the showers to wash it off before progressing to the Sulphur Pool, temp 36 degrees, natural heat. VERY EGGY.

In fact even after two showers a day still seemed to get a feint wiff.

I must say the skin did feel better for a few days.

You then sail back to where we started where there is the Restaurant we are booked into for Lunch, the lunch is included in the price but drinks extra, that seems fair, not everyone wants to drink, some happy with water.
4 Course of help yourself.
Soup.
Selection of Cold Mezes
Main, Fish or Chicken.
Deserts and fresh fruit.

After lunch rejoin boats for trip to the sea Turtle Beach.
Loveyly scenery.
Pass Daylan Town, numerous boats line the Riverbank.

Pass thru Reed Beds (This is where THE AFRICAN QUEEN (Bogart) was filmed)
You also get fantastic views of the ROCK TOMBS 3000BC.

Turtle Beach was a bit rushed, the sand is very fine so with a good wind blowing, not the place to tarry.
There are a few booths with information on the Loggerhead turtles.

Our Guide had a deal with local fishermen, Buy some Cooked Blue Crab (Turtles favourite food) enjoy the crab and feed the rest to attract the turtles.

A good enjoyable excursion.
Beautiful, and Dirty.
