The Strand Palace Hotel

Advantages: Central location, clean
Disadvantages: Food, rooms

We stayed at this hotel in London a little over a month ago now for two nights, we chose this hotel mainly because of the central location and because it was only a ten minuite walk from the show we had booked to go too. Check in was very quick - About ten minuites and the staff at the reception seemed very friendly. My first thoughts on the hotel was that it looked really clean and that it was nicely decorated and it looked modern. I was a little dissapointed with our room as it was very small and basic, our room had a double bed, tea and coffee making facilities, a tv with satellite and a small, basic en suite bathroom with a shower. The views from our room very very poor - A block of offices which made our room dark as they were so close. The hotel has two bars and two resturaunts, the bars were again nicely decorated ...

Partying at the Palace (ish)

Advantages: Comfortable, clean, good staff
Disadvantages: A few faults, doesnt live up to expectations

This review is about my Christmas party experience at the Strand Palace Hotel. This year, I was in charge of organising our office Christmas party, and, being based in South East London, the department tends to head to Bromley or Greenwich for a meal. But this year we decided to go all out, and go 'up west', and so I came across the Strand Palace hotel on my googlequest and we decided to go posh as well. The booking process was slightly tiresome, seeing as the particular member of staff we made our booking through was somewhat challenged in the brains department. The initial booking process was easy. We booked ourselves in for the three-course carvery meal, and then Channy and I (the office babies) were sent scuttling around collecting everybody's cash (Ģ33 per head). All was sent in when a couple of weeks later, the girl calls me ...

The Palace Hotel, Torquay

Advantages: Fantastic Business Hotel
Disadvantages: None

As a business Women I rarely have time to sit down and write a review on a place I have been to. However on this occasion, I have made time as the Palace hotel in Torquay, which I recently attended for a conference, was outstanding. The luxury and status of the hotel clearly shined through in both the exterior and interior appearance. The large rooms where clean, well styled and extremely practical, providing myself with a very high quality experience. After the conference, I retired to a cosy and exceptional room where I was pampered with a deluxe bed, modernised bathroom and fresh fruit. Moreover I was able to spend the evening socialising with colleagues over a game of snooker and a first class glass of wine with a friendly and well mannered group of hotel staff. All in all the conference was made perfect by the exceptional facilities ...
