We stayed at the Marriott Denia for 10 days towards the end of July 07. There were 4 in our party 2 adults and 2 boys (11 and 9 yrs old). If you have every stayed at the Son Antem Marriott in Majorca, you will be disappointed,
as it is nowhere near as good! Having said that, we still had a fantastic time. I think it's best to point out the good and bad points. All of the faults could be rectified very easily. Firstly, the service is the normal high quality you would expect from a Marriott, they still struggle to cope at the bar in the evenings but no real bother. The pool is nice, not heated but clean. The female lifeguard was a nightmare, I think she must have come from a Health and Safety background.When she was off duty, it was much more enjoyable! I believe several guests complained about her . There wan't enough for the kids ...

the kids entertained. Maybe we were lucky, but the kids were all really well behaved and were welcomed even by the more adult-themed entertainment (usually a duo) We saw 3 different acts whilst we were there and they were all different and all were excellent.
My husband played golf and did remark that the golf course wasn't perhaps at it's best, but he still enjoyed his game- he also found the driving range useful and very reasonably priced. In total, for one round of golf including club hire and golf buggy, it was 100 euros. The driving range was just 9 euros for 220 balls. He thought that was reasonable.
The Spa was also excellent. They did a special offer of 12.95 euros for the basic spa facilities, I thought that was ok. Any treatments were extra but were fairly on par with what you'd expect and very reasonable.

I never actually bought this, I sort of acquired it! Some time ago, in Sainsbury's, my mum had decided she was fed up with the soap getting soggy in the shower soap holder and, since the Imperial Leather handwash was on offer, we somehow managed to end up with a buy-one-get-one-free on both types of product! (The other shower gel in question was the far more eye-catching bright icy blue Icelandic Spa one, but that was used up before I had chance to sample it.) So, for variety, we also went for the cream-ivory coloured Japanese Spa shower gel . . . and then my dad decided he couldn't get used to body wash instead of soap - he's not the kind of dad you'd buy toiletries for at the best of times! - and my mum isn't really a high-maintenance person in the bathroom either.
