Davao is known as the Land of promise and a dangerous place for criminals.
Davao as we know it has one of the most wonderful source of water in Talomo district. It had it's own history to be told and has remarkable progress in a short time compared to the neighboring cities. A place to spend a nice peaceful day in the wonderful eden mountain spring resort or climb the Philippines tallest mountain, The Mount. Pinatubo.
Hotels: Davao has one of its finest hotels to boast about, it's elegance mix with the history of the city can be seen in the hotel lobby and furniture made by local furniture artist. Davao is also known for its public park called The Peoples Park there you can see the artistic touch of the well known native artist of davao.
Delicacies are always the first to try in the city, local fruits like durian and pomelo are best sellers, innovated into other products like cakes, icecream and many more. The best places to visit in Davao are Pearl Farm Resort located in a secluded Samal Island off the coast of Davao City, The Pearl Farm Island Resort is the best place to relax and unwind. It is about 45 minutes by boat from Davao City. It's a world-class private resort and was once a place where white, pink and gold pearls are cultured from a special breed of oysters coming from the Sulu Island.
Philippine Eagle Foundation is also a must visit place here you can find the Philippine eagle which is considered as an endangered species, the Philippine Eagle has found its home in Davao. The Philippine Eagle National Center is a santuary of the world's largest eagle. It nutures these birds and conducts continous research and advocacy programs to preserve and protect its kind.Davao Museum and Crocodile Park are a must visit place when you want to see something new and historical right in davao with it's native animals and national treasures that can only be seen in Davao.
The busy streets of Davao are prone to traffic during rainy season so it is important to avoid the downtown area when the weather is not at its finest.Davao City as I see it now really live to it's name as the Land of Promise. Living in this wonderful place will make you doubt whether to go or stay for more.
Davao is really at its finest, it's not only worth your time and money but its a great place to be close to nature and unwind.
