Location:
The hotel is on the Westbound carriageway of the A50, and is just a couple of miles from the M1, off of J24. The A50 also joins up with the M6 at the other end.
This is close to the East Midlands airport, Derby, Donnington Park race Track and Alton Towers. Be aware the adverts say its just 30 mins to Alton Towers. Treat the journey as 40 mins and you'll be ok.
Note on Location:
The hotel and facilities are ONLY available when travelling on the Westbound carriageway. If your travelling Eastbound, you have to go up to the junction with the M1 to be able to turn round (but its only a few mins away).
Hotel or Motel:

The Mackworth hotel is a converted and extended farmhouse situated on the edge of the medieval village of Mackworth, Derbyshire. It lies just 2 miles out of Derby City Centre with close links to the M1/M6/A38/A50.
We chose this as our wedding venue in the October of 2006, after visiting the Hotel for several meals and evenings out previously.
As well as being fully licensed for civil wedding ceremonies, the hotel boasts extensive conferencing facilities, restaurant and bar areas.
The restaurant boasts a superb carvery with a varied choice of meat and veg for a reasonable price as well as many alternatives on the menu. The hotel is surrounded by picturesque Derbyshire Countryside visible from the restaurant open plan extension.

I visited Belfast this year, needed a hotel to stay in for five nights and came across the DaysHotel.
It is a 3 Star-hotel, located in the heart of Belfast City, offers guests great value accommodation with the convenience of the city centre business, entertainment, shopping district and train station located on the doorstep of the hotel.
They state that they are the largest hotel in Northern Ireland with 244 bedrooms, and offering guests FREE on-site car parking for residents.
I booked through a third party website, but I could of got a better deal through the hotels own website - as they have a special offers page.
