It is possible to access the Metro Rail Green Line from LAX, but it isn't easy. The Metro platform is off the airport on Imperial Highway and Aviation Blvd. You must take the shuttle bus from the island outside of the baggage claim area. You will see a blue sign: "LAX Shuttle Airline Connection" The correct Metro bus only comes about every 15 minutes and will have a sign saying "METRO RAIL" The LAX shuttle makes the loop of the terminals for passengers connecting between airlines.. The Metro Rail can connect you very inexpensively with downtown LosAngeles and AMTRAK's Union Depot.

Lax international airport is big and very busy. It is divided into different terminals for many international flights. Do not get off at the wrong ones, it will take you forever to walk.
Upon leaving:
the way to Lax is always crowded. Traffic jams is a usual in that area. Getting out of the freeway on the way to get gas is not such a good idea. Because it is all downtown LosAngeles. Not too safe at night. So be sure you have a full tank of gas and be prepared about the traffic time before you leave.
There are parking structures across each terminal. It is advisable for one to park at the correct building to avoid long walks. Rental cars are very convenient too. When you return the rental car, they will take you to the airport. There are many different parkings for overnights. They all have free shuttle service to and from ...

particular DaysInn being very well situated. Travel about 2 miles south on this road and you hit the beach, travel inland and it leads you through Beverley Hills and on to Hollywood. If like me, you make a hash of map-reading, this road is a navigator's dream.

This is a low-level building in keeping with the locality, and only has a total of 68 bedrooms spread out on three floors. What clinched it for me with this hotel was it's pinkness. The outside décor is probably more suited to Miami's Art Deco area, and some might say it looks gaudy but I thought the pink paint suited the area perfectly. You can enter the motel either via the pedestrian entrance or via the car park, and once inside, we found the lobby to be very clean, with a nice marble floor.
