Advantages: Better than the Valley's Disadvantages: Town centre losing its shops
Being perfectly honest, you may have travelled through Bridgend and never realised it-the memorable place that it is! Situated between Cardiff and Swansea, Bridgend really doesnt have that much to offer. The town centre itself has suffered from the opening and further expansion of the McArthur Glen Designer Village, which was built about 3 years ago, just off the motorway junction in Sarn.
The Centre
At present, work is just being completed to fully pave the newly pedestrianised main shopping areas. In this area, you'll find many, many sports shops and mobile phone shops, and little else! Parking for the town centre can be quite expensive, but ...
Advantages: Growing size Disadvantages: not too much for tourists in bridgend itself.
Bridgend is a medium sized town situated between Cardiff and Swansea in South Wales, in the county also named Bridgend. The town of Bridgend itself is deifnitly not a tourist town, however, it's a decent place to live ...

Ciao members have rated this review on average: somewhat helpful Review of Bridgend in General
Recently I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Cardiff. This was my third stay. What an ideal place to stay.
Situated next door to the Millenium Stadium ; bedroom window overlooking the stadium. 10 Minute walk from the railway station.
On arrival we were checked in efficiently and professionally. Our room was cleaned to a high standard and we felt very welcome.
The following day we had to leave early as we had an appointment and therefore I enquired in the restaurant about what time breakfast was. I was told breakfast began at 7:30 because it was Sunday. I asked if we could have breakfast earlier. In reply I was asked what time we would like to have breakfast. I couldn't believe it , having stayed in places where people were less helpful!
Eventually we decided on 6:30 which I thought was a real exception as some of the staff had to ...
