Advantages: Dotted all over the country so you're bound to find one with vacancies, Simple booking and check out procedure, Works out reasonably priced if theres two or more of you sharing
Disadvantages: Noise of traffic in our particular room (but I've heard this is unusual), Only one pillow per person provided as standard in our room!

...the traffic really, despite one of their stops being at one by a motorway. Perhaps they’ve had triple glazed rooms? I’m not sure. One nights ‘sleep’ over with and it was time to get up again before I knew where I was. We’d all agreed to meet in Reception at 8:45am. We nipped over to Sainsbury’s to grab a bite to eat (or they did, I’m no a breakfast person!) And then hurried back to Bestwood Lodge to present our talk. One talk out of the way we were at GhostCon all day through until 1am. At which time it was time to head back to Travel Inn again. And, again, we’d forgotten about our keys! We sneaked in again looking sheepish, but, as with the night before, no one said anything. Being completely knackered this night, slightly more used to the one pillow situation and having no talk to worry about I got a much better nights sleep... Read review

Advantages: Cheap, Cheerful and Clean

...If you want a cheep but cheerful hotel for a great weekend in a fabulous place then Tulip Inn Amsterdam West is for you. The Tulip Inn Amsterdam West is a 3 star hotel situated in the western area of Amsterdam (3 stars indicates that the hotel has a quality rating). There are 162 rooms, which are reasonably priced and during my stay there, the room was clean and had maid service every day. I stayed at the Tulip Inn Amsterdam West in December 2005 with 3 friends and we booked 2 twin rooms. The trip was extremely good value and was booked through Expedia at a price of £116 each including flights and 2 nights (3 days) stay at the hotel. The hotel states that it's facilities include; airport transportation (at extra cost), breakfast room (at extra cost), Wireless Internet access, Free Parking, Conference Rooms, a Restaurant... .... So this was Key West, the home of poets, writers and, so they say, dropouts and layabouts and only 90 miles from Cuba. On arrival the sun shone as we toured around to find a hotel for a couple of nights. A must for new arrivals was to watch the sunset from a viewpoint, preferably with the odd pint or glass of wine. This was spectacular and in fact the following night was just the same – all viewpoints packed to capacity. Not a lot to see otherwise, but a friendly, relaxed atmosphere was evident. Eating out was expensive but the hotel was reasonably priced. Weather conditions had changed and it was hot and sunny as we booked a trip in a glass-bottomed boat to visit the coral reefs. Not to be missed. On our return we decided to make the journey within a day, with just a stop for lunch. OK if you are fond of driving. Otherwise... Read review
