Advantages: Easy access & parking Disadvantages: Noisy & away from main town and ameneties
disturbed us several times. This may be alleviated if you get a room on the opposite side of the hotel. It would be worth asking for. Also amke sure you don't get a room right next door to the ice machines - they appear to be very old, and therefore are VERY noisy.
In hindsight I would have chosen a more up-to-date hotel nearer to the city, so that more amenities were close at hand, but I suppose there was a clue in the title of the hotel telling me where it was.
If you are visiting or working at one of the fairgrounds exhibitions/trade shows this hotel would be a reasonable base, but it is not wholly suitable to the travelling tourist. It is on the outskirts of Syracuse, away from the restaurants/shops, and is noisy. On the plus side it is relatively clean and accessable. It is a very 'average' hotel, but I would however think twice about ...
My friend and I stayed at the DaysInn in Niagara for two nights in May at the start of our tour round Eastern Canada. We?d booked this as part of our Globespan holiday so I don?t know how efficient the booking process was. The hotel was three star and we certainly didn?t pay over the odds for our stay, although I don?t know exactly how much we paid.

We breathed a sigh of relief as our bus finally pulled up outside the hotel (our flight had been delayed quite a bit so neither of us was in the best of form by this stage!). I?d heard great things about the friendliness of the Canadian race from friends who had been to Canada before so was expecting a nice warm welcome from the hotel staff ? you?d expect those in the hospitality ...
Advantages: Well located; reasonably priced rooms; large beds Disadvantages: Not much in the way of hotel facilities
advertised as being within easy walking distance of the pacific coast, but I didn't feel they were worth the inflated price as we mainly wanted a base from which to explore, rather than an all singing all dancing resort. We came to choose this motel because it ticked all our boxes. It also had a choice of room sizes, from suites to what they call single kingsized bedrooms.
~ The location ~
The DaysInn Santa Monica is situated on the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and Stanford Street, with the pedestrian entrance being in the Boulevard. If like us, you're driving here, you have to drive past the motel and turn into Stanford Street and then make a right into the motel car park. There are about ten spaces here, with plenty of others underground. The Santa Monica Boulevard seemed to be one of the busiest roads in the area, with this ...
