The apartments are in the newly developed area of Hatton Gardens, just down the road from the "Banana Lamb" sculpture, and newly built student accomodations. The building was a post office sorting building, architecure is quite modern. The entrance hall is a vast triangular pond, perhaps nice to share a drink over, except you are encouraged to keep the noise down and the whole place echos and amplifies a single breath. The apartments, I ... ...residential units.
The apartments are all different, but share the same basic concept, TV DVD Stereo, 2 sofas, dining table plus kitchen bedrooms and bathrooms. Most have a balcony and quite good views of the city. There is an information book and food is easily delivered to your room. Access is through a locked outer then your apartment door. There is a basic welcome package with tea coffee etc in.

The apartments, I have stayed in 3 different ones are mixed with fully residential units.

Although clean, they are showing a bit of wear and tear, from cracked tiles in the bathroom, to "grubby" paintwork in the lounges.
There is an underground carpark and like the check-in times the entry is very limited, usually business hours. Be warned if connecting to airport or ferry, leave plenty of time. Taxi firms do and will go to Hatton Garden, and it is only a five minute walk, through safe streets to Queen Square Bus Station.
The beds were comfortable and I have always had a good nights sleep.
You only get one key, if there are more than two of you , this can be a real pain. There is video entry so you can buzz people in if you are not too drunk to answer it!
They also have washer dryers, great if you hit them mid holiday for your wardrobe overhaul.
The great advantage is you can buy in your own food and drink and have a really good cheap evening before hitting Liverpool.
Book through any of the late booking sites, you can get a 2 bedroom apartment for about £90 in the week less at the weekend if the football is not on.
