However we certainly missed out, on our fifth night we finally decided to give it a go, mainly because it was raining and it was close.
Firstly the service was excellent, very friendly waitress and a chef who took the time come actually come out and converse with the ... ...what seemed such a small place and seemed about average priced for the area. That was until the food arrived and we found that not only were the portions very large but also of fantastic taste.

The menu was quite varied for what seemed such a small place and seemed about average priced for the area. That was until the food arrived and we found that not only were the portions very large but also of fantastic taste.
My starter of Baked Mussels were the best I have tasted outside of Swansea and frankly there was enough there for a main course of it's own. The main course itself was a whole rack of ribs (not just half a rack like most resteraunts give) with a fantastically rich sauce, in addition there was a bowl of salad and a bowl of chips as well as several dips. I did not get near to finishing the ribs (according to a local couple who came in while I was there nobody finishes the ribs and ALL the meals are both hat sized and that good).
If you are even in the area for the night then this place is well worth a visit, I will certainly be back the next time I stay in Haarlem.
