Where to begin .... ! De Hofkamers in Ostend is situated in a quiet side street, a few steps from the Leopold Park. With the beach a few minutes walk away in one direction, and the main shopping centre the same distance the other, the location is perfect for every need.
The staff are friendly, welcoming and polite, nothing is too much trouble. There is a private garage for guests, a seminar room, sun terrace, solarium, and fitness facilities.
The 25 rooms, each one is individually decorated and furnished, are spotlessly clean. They include a flat screen TV with cable connection showing 20+ channels, several of them in English, alarm clock, a telephone and wireless internet as standard.
The beds are comfortable. Each room has tiled en suite facilities (either a bath or shower + toilet, sink and large mirror) and includes a hairdryer, towels and complimentary soap, shampoo, etc.
And then there is the breakfast !
This is where De Hofkamers rises above all other 3 star hotels in Ostend.
The breakfast room is cosy but light, the table linen, crockery and utensils spotlessly clean.
ln the centre of the room is a large table, groaning under the wieght of a hot and cold banquet breakfast buffet which will include fresh speciality breads of many kinds, bread rolls, croissants etc., meats, cheeses, cereals, fruits, yoghourts, jams, honey, bacon, toast, and eggs.
There is a choice of several fruit juices. Tea or coffee or hot chocolate is served in real silver pots at your table by your waitress.
Ostend is a perfect base for exploring the coast of Belgium. De Hofkamers has the perfect location. within easy walking distance of the promenade and the train station, art galleries, etc.
De Hofkamers (formally known as the Hotel Danielle) is owned and managed by Didier and Chantal Pots. You will be welcomed as a guest, but you will leave as a friend.
