...walk in as your not a regular, as most ppl in pubs do nowadays.
The other thing was when we arrived we was shown to out room which was another nice room but was not the bridal suite I went back to reception and they apologised and moved us straight away.
So if anybody is going to travel from stansred and wants a friendly clean warm hotel at a great price book the desalis you wont be dissapointed. We will be going back in the next year, but I dont think we will have the same room....

Advantages: Beautiful, quiet and laid back Disadvantages: Can't think of any!
...My parents started going to Calella de Palafrugell on the Costa Brava before I was born. It was the location of choice for our family holidays for many many years, and I have just got back from a holiday there on the 18th of September.
On the 4th September, my mother, father and I set off for Stansted airport to get our plane to Girona. Ryanair fly to this airport, and the flights are really cheap so this was perfect for us. We picked up our car at the airport and set off in the direction of Calella. No map was needed, that's how many times we've been there. Forty mintues later as we approached Palafrugell I started to get excited and was longing that we could get there quicker. We stopped off, got some shopping and headed onwards to Finques Port Calella (the estate agents) to get our apartment keys.

Advantages: Good shops and eateries, clean, relaxing Disadvantages: Speeding monorail, crowded departures hall
...they had a set price for a return fare to Stansted and were used to taking passengers. This was the most convenient for us as it was more comfortable than other measures and meant door to door service. The taxi company took details of out return flight and ensured they would be there to meet us. There are taxi ranks at the airport but I felt better knowing we had someone waiting for us as it saved time and hassle.
If you needed to stay at the airport, for a very early departure etc, there is a Hilton Hotel at the airport and a number of other hotels and guest houses within close range in the town of Bishop Stortford and the surrounding area.

A Beautiful hotel in a perfect location; central and just minutes away from the main sqaure. The hotel overlooks a very pretty canal and we had de-luxe rooms with canal views. Sumptuous rooms, plenty of space and every possible extra. Delicious... more
