Advantages: Possibly the best hotel you will ever stay in! Disadvantages: None
This has to be one of the most beautiful and romantic places to stay in the World let alone Scotland. Set on the banks of LochLomond, this cabin style lodge hotel has everything you could wish for. I stayed here in February this year on the eve of my bithday. We stumbled across it while tring to find a place to stay on a tour round Scotland and boy am I glad we did. The prices were higher than we had been paying (£150) but thhis included a three course dinner and the best room I have ever stayed in. The room was all open plan with a low partition separating the bathroom from the bedroom/lounge. A fantastic large bed, leather chairs, tv and balcony looking out on the loch. The bath/shower was automatically set for a set time/temperatures all you had to do was press a button and the bath would fill to the right level! Brilliant ...
Advantages: Fantastic rooms, friendly staff, great location Disadvantages: some of the other guests seem to think their a bit special!
be booked over the hotel groups website, by calling a central reservations number, by calling the hotel directly and most likely through your locale travel agents alothough i wouldn't recommend this as it will work out much more expensive that contacting the hotel directly.
I would definatly recommend a visit to this hotel especially for a special occassion, the staff are always friendly, helpful and willing to go the extra mile, for example several times they've made food for me not on the menu just because i enquired as to whether they did do it or not. Also if you have an american express card you can often get deals on buy one get one night free in devere hotels, and sometimes a free upgrade (the reason i got junior suites both time!) ...
Advantages: Well situated, Affordable, Good Facilities, Nicely Decorated Disadvantages: We did not eat in the hotel so I cannot comment on that
rooms starting from £19 a night including weekends. A quick search showed me that they were offering rooms at Milton Hill House in Abingdon for £29 each on Sunday 15th February.
It just so happened that the week after Valentines was half term week at the local schools which meant I could take some of the holidays I had remaining (as I work in a school) so my husband and I both booked the Monday off work. I didn?t tell him where we were going or what we were doing I just told him that I was booking a Valentines surprise for us. Now I just needed to keep my mouth shut and not give the game away, which for a big mouth like me was a challenge in itself!
Milton Hill house with its whitewashed Georgian charm is set in 22 acres of secluded parkland. Owned by the DeVere Group is has 113 stylish bedrooms plus 16 fully equipped meeting rooms ...
