One of our friends had the Thetford pork loin, one had the organic salmon, and three of us opted for the carvery which on weekends you had to have two courses, but given the selection of starters and desserts was no real trial! - We naturally went for the dessert option! We also had drinks and a couple bottles of wine - No-one in our group could fault the quality and service, especially when the member of waiting staff overheard us wishing our friend happy birthday - She asked if we would like some balloons - and a few minutes later came back with a bunch all ribboned and weighted! Having never stayed in a DeVere Hotel before I wasn?t really sure what to expect so did some investigative work on the internet to see if I could find any reviews or anything. Unfortunately a lot of the reviews I did find weren?t very complimentary about Milton Hill House but there was nothing I could do as I had booked the room and it was non refundable. A lot of the reviews had mentioned that there seemed to be a lot of refurbishment going on during the time the writers had visited so I hoped that things would be better during our stay.

be booked over the hotel groups website, by calling a central reservations number, by calling the hotel directly and most likely through your locale travel agents alothough i wouldn't recommend this as it will work out much more expensive that contacting the hotel directly.
I would definatly recommend a visit to this hotel especially for a special occassion, the staff are always friendly, helpful and willing to go the extra mile, for example several times they've made food for me not on the menu just because i enquired as to whether they did do it or not. Also if you have an american express card you can often get deals on buy one get one night free in devere hotels, and sometimes a free upgrade (the reason i got junior suites both time!) ...
