...My boyfriend and I travelled by Eurostar to Paris last summer and I can truly say it was the most wonderful holiday we have ever experienced. Disneyland Paris was the first stop and it is far more attractive than its American counterparts. We had to take the metro to Paris and carrying our luggage up four flights of escalators was a struggle, but it was worth it.
Our first hotel was a great disappointment - Hotel Favart. It was a total dump and we were only allowed to leave and cancel our reservation after I flooded the lobby with tears.
A very fast taxi journey took us to Hotel California on Rue de Berri, just of the Champs Elyesse. I will never forget turning the corner at the Place De la Concorde and seeing the Arc de Triomphe for the first time. Forget the Eiffel - Paris is about architecture and the Arc is incredible.

...Hotel Acanthe, 9-11 rond-point rhin et danube, 92100boulogne-billancourt, Paris, e-mail Hotel-Acanthe@akaMail.com - Travelled to Paris for the first time in November 1999 with my husband for a long weekend. Found the Hotel Acanthe on the internet and booked it over the internet.
Between November and March they offer special deals for weekend stays(three nights for the price of two). The hotel is situated about 50 paces from the last stop on the Pont de St Cloud subway station so even for a first time visitor to this vast city, it was incredibly easy to find.
The hotel is very modern inside, clean and comfortable public rooms and very well equipped bedrooms with hairdryers and minibars - it more than deserved its 3 star rating. Best of all, due to its location it was quiet but only a 10 minute metro ride from central paris. also...

Advantages: beautiful sceneries, plenty of stations, good quality hotels, fancy food, great attractions. Disadvantages: Expensive, The history of France isn't always appreciated.
