The Aquarium

Advantages: can't think of any this time around
Disadvantages: Can get busy, sometimes full of screaming kids over the holiday periods, dumbed down feel

Seeing as there are no recent reviews of the London Aquarium on here, I thought I should add an update! I had not been here since early 2007, so I thought it warranted a visit seeing as I had some time off work. A lot has changed... First of all - the prices: Adults (15 yrs): £16 Children (3 - 14 yrs): £11.75 Babies/Toddlers: Free (All children must be with an adult of 18 years or older!) Students and OAPs: £14 Family ticket (2 adults + 2 children): £50 Disabled Adult: £14 Disabled Child: £9.75 Secondly - the London Aquarium layout has changed quite a bit! 1) They have placed a sweet shop right in the middle of the aquarium, next to the theatre. 2) The information posters about the fish are not displayed very well. They use LCD monitors now which have pages that are only displayed for 5 minutes at a time. This is quite bizarre as ...

Review of London Aquarium, London

Andre Agassi, and all of his charms

Advantages: Mostly
Disadvantages: Nothing loud

Andre Agassi has exploded the Agassi myth himself, a sports person who became a cult figure. Except Bjorn Borg no body enjoyed such rapturous fan-following. A doe-eyed global seducer. Blowing flying kisses and becoming folded hand to woo his followers. Along with Borg, enjoyed female following like no other sport-person ever did. From Andre Agassi, one of the most beloved athletes in the history and one of the most gifted men ever to step onto a tennis court, a beautiful, a candid autobiography. His unmatched charisma made him the most widely marketed player. He was not only a tennis player but a perfect showman both off and on court. ABOUT ANDRE AGASSI: Born Andre Kirk Agassi to Emmanuel Mike Aghassin and Elizabeth Betty Agassi (nee Dudley) on 29th April, 1970 in Las Vegas, Nevada. As the name suggests Mike is an Iranian ...

Review of Open: An Autobiography - Andre Agassi

Aquarium La Rochelle

Advantages: A wonderful experience and day out
Disadvantages: Expensive shop

Aquarium La Rochelle, unsurprisingly is in La Rochelle on the West Coast of France. It's located in the centre of the town, a few minutes from the station, and within 5 minutes walk of the main shopping area. It boasts 12,000 marine animals, 20 species of shark, 70 aquariums and 3 million litres of water. Opening Times and Prices ********************* Adults are 13 Euro, children aged 3 to 17 years (and students with student card) are 10 Euro and children under 3 years are free If you want a narrated visit (with audio guide), you need to add 3,50Euro to the individual prices. We decided against the narrated visit and it didn't spoil the enjoyment at all, because all the notices and information about the different species is written in English as well as French. The aquarium is open every day of the year, from October to March it's open ...
