Advantages: Great for kids Disadvantages: near a main road
i went to this hotel in october 2006, there was me, my husband, my 6 month old, 2 adult friends and their children who were 4 and 10.
it was suited very well for children there was:
childrens section for the buffet
childrens pool
arcade
entertainment and games in the day and evening
pony rides
childrens cocktails
smoking outside only
play area
there are plenty of things for the children to do out side of the hotel, there are arcades, trampolines and bouncy castle things.
for the adults its just the usual, plenty of bars around and some good offers, it is about 5 minute walk to the main shops and bars but there are plenty around the hotel. It wasn\'t loud either.
The rooms were clean and rooms cleaned everyday. The hotel was nice and reception helpful. i went for a week and the half board buffet was different ...
Advantages: Small and friendly Disadvantages: Not much nightlife outside summer
My friend and I planned to go island hopping off the coast of Croatia. We flew into Split and Hvar was our first stop. We planned to stay for one night, but ended up there for three!

For accommodation, you are met off the ferry by local people offering photos of rooms or apartments, and they will take you to these. We booked ours in advance, and were very pleased, the apartment was spacious and clean, and only ...
Advantages: Beautiful, cheap, friendly, sunny.... Disadvantages: More tourists each year
I first went to Croatia a little over a year ago, not really knowing what to expect. I have since returned 6 times. Predominantly, I have visited Hvar, an island off the Dalmatian coast. It is famous for the amount of sunshine it gets each year, and it has the most beautiful, clear water I have ever seen. The island is small, so the sea is never far away, and there are mountains all over.
The main town is (slightly confusingly) also called Hvar. It is pretty, but there tend to be large numbers of tourists milling round during the summer months, and it can be difficult, even though the prices are no more expensive than in England, to get over the feeling that you're being stung for as much money as traders can get out of you. One particular bar to avoid if money is tight is Carpe Diem, which has the best cocktails ever, but at hugely ...
