Holiday to India
Review of Delhi (India) by marria-x

Advantages: Excellent customer service
Disadvantages: Noise and Pollution

...had a 10-hour flight to Delhi and then had to wait in the lounge for an astonishing 13 hours before catching another lfight to mumbai. The city is very noisy, crowded with the shanti towns and there is a lot of polluion because of the lack of basic hygience. On the contrary, the lounge i spent 13 hours in was 1 of the best examples of amazing customer service that i can think of. The waiters were extremely helpful and i felt very comfortable. The ... Delhi: A Cultural Melting-Pot
Review of Delhi (India) by salar15

Advantages: Great attractions; fabulous culture; fascinating history
Disadvantages: Very noisy and polluted in parts

...a straightforward case of arteriosclerosis, Delhi is the outcome of consuming a McDonalds and three packets of cigarettes at every meal. Aesthetically, it can be equally pleasant. Once you get past the grotesque horrors, however, there are a wealth of things to be done. The Red Fort is probably the most famous landmark Delhi possesses, but it's almost certainly not the most impressive. Not that this is what you will be thinking when you gaze up ...
...visiting the main mosque in Delhi (worth a trip, though be aware that the flagstones in the central courtyard will be baking hot in the sunshine - the Indians seem unpeturbed, but if your soles haven't been subjected to a lifetime of abuse, and are not the consistency of cowhide, then keep to the shade), and were intending to visit the Sheraton hotel to eat at Bukhara; purportedly the best restaurant in Asia. Worth a trip in its own right, Bukhara ... Read review

Delhi - shopping for discerning people
Review of Delhi (India) by IDTD

Advantages: AFFORDABLE; WHOLE SPECTRUM OF SHOPPING
Disadvantages: NO REGULATORY MECHANISM, HIGH INCIDENCE OF CHEATING AND DECEPTION

Delhi - A discerning shoppers' paradise So you have landed in Delhi and have since seen its 'places worth seeing'? Now what about shopping? Delhi has something for everyone. It offers a total shopping experience. From high end shopping to pedestrian level shops; from indigenous ethnic products to sprawling shopping malls, Delhi has it all. But having said that, I must qualify the same with some ground rules and facts. Delhi, much like Bangkok is ...
...will elaborate on each. Delhi Haat and surroundings Delhi haat is a veritable one stop shop for all those who want to carry back ethnic memoirs of India. Here you would find shops by those very people who are the creators of their products. Thus you can lay your hands on original andamanese cane products or phulkari from Punjab or kullu shawls or kanchi silk. The products are reasonably priced perhaps because the place uniquely avoids the middlemen ... Read review

Riding The Fairy Queen
Review of Delhi (India) by stravaig

Advantages: Unusual and fun experience
Disadvantages: The hotel at Sariska

...24 November, a journey from Delhi to Alwar in Rajastan, (about four hours duration) and then on to Sariska Palace by road (another hour). This is a review of a tourist attraction from Delhi rather than of Delhi itself. Hope that's OK! We left Delhi's Cantonment Station on Saturday morning amidst a flurry of media attention. The train chugged out with much cheering and whistling and we were off on our adventure The seating is comfortable, with observation ...
...addition to the usual forward-looking pairs of seats. The toilets were spotlessly clean. The staff are efficient and courteous and were soon serving our "light snack". This consisted of tea, coffee, anaemic-looking cheese sandwiches, crisps, and the ubiquitous ketchup. Although we had booked as part of a group of four people, We were delighted to find another party of ten people on board with whom we were already vaguely acquainted. By the end of ... Read review

Delhi The capital of India
Review of Delhi (India) by arunsahni002

Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: a bit dirty

I have been to Delhi many times as part of my business trips. Every time I go there I find something new and exciting there. Delhi is in actual fact two cities Old Delhi and New Delhi all in one. Old Delhi is a place ideal for those who love History. New Delhi is the Modern city. In old Delhi there are many places to visit including both the red fort, qutham Minar Channi Choq. The first two are historical places built in the Mogul times. The former ...
...faint hearted. New Delhi is great for those who want to get a taste of Delhi and Indian culture. The new city has been really developed to accommodate tourists who come into the country with special tourist areas and buses that can take you to visit the Taj Mahal in Agra. Getting around the city is very easy and cheap. You can hire a taxi for a day at a very reasonable price at your hotel, which usually comes with a tour guide, which is perfect ... Read review
