After a fab flight direct from Manchester to Toronto with bmi, I was looking forward to checking into the hotel and having some me time to refresh after the flight.
Upon arrival at the hotel I was amazed that such a large building was tucked away in the city centre of Toronto, I was quickly checked in by a member of the Reception team and with the help of a porter directed to my room with my luggage catered for by the porter.
With 1591 rooms and 27 floors this hotel is pretty vast but for a 4 star rating this hotel looked amazing, marble floors were throughout the reception area and the ground floor 6 lifts were available to take me to my room and I was sure that my room would not let me down.
I arrived at my room, ensuite with a King Size bed just for me, a television with cable was at the end of the bed next to the tea and coffee making facilities and a tv guide.
I had a look around the bathroom where there was a toilet, sink and cosmetc unit and bath complete with shower head and June Jacob spa toiletries., a hairdrier was also in the bathroom for use along with a shaver unit.
The view to the room was not great but then for city centre accommodation you are likely to be surrounded by sky scrapers and business buildings so I couldn't complain at the view.
The main facilities of the hotel include:-
Bb33 Bistro Brasserie which offered fantastic food that was good value for money and offered a wide selection to cater for all tastes.
Monarchs is the bar onsite at the hotel with a relaxed theme, the drinking age in Toronto is 19 and they are not shy about asking young looking adults for Identification so if you are a babyface ensure you carry your photo ID to ensure being served. There is a pool table present in Monarchs and when there is a game watch it on their 10ft screen.
Deck 27 is by far the best feature of this hotel sit upstairs with a cocktail or refreshment and look out on Torontos Skyline it is beautiful and very romantic. Also on Deck 27 is the indoor pool and Health Club exclusive to all guests aged 19 and over.
On the second floor is the family fun room, which includes a 4 storey indoor waterslide, whirlpool, sauna and games rooms so children will not miss out.
I believe that this hotel is great and is jam packed with ideas to keep you busy and is in walking distance of the main attractions and just 15km from Toronto Pearson Airport.
