...During my trip to Cape Town in May of this year, I decided to enrol on one of the scheduled tours which incorporated a visit to The Diamond Works.
What are "The Diamond Works"?
The Diamond Works is Cape Town's most exquisite collection of jewellery, offering a rare experience to visitors.
It is a destination where all visitors can learn about diamond cutting and it a fully operational diamond-cutting workshop.

Diamonds date back over 3000 years to India where they were famous for their ability to refract light in order to warn off evil.

Advantages: Can earn BMI points using BMI partners Disadvantages: None I can think of yet
...I have been a member of the BMI Diamond Club for the past two years now and would be lost without it since I fly with BMI quite regulary. Membership is free and is quite simple to join.
They have to different points that they give you:
Membership - These are issued for each reward and determine card level
Destination - These are your actual free flight or car hire certs.
MEMBERSHIP LEVELS

On check-in, you're allowed 20Kg additional free baggage allowance, and you get priority on stand-by availability on bmi flights. If you're travelling with just hand luggage you can also use the telephone check-in facility on flights leaving from the UK and ROI even when you're travelling on an economy ticket. In addition you can also recieve discounts and upgrades with their hotel and car parking partners.

Advantages: Seemingly freebie movies Disadvantages: Getting far too popular
...(still complete with photograph) so you can use it the same day. Eventually (and mine came two months later) a nice plastic card will drop through your mailbox. And whats more you can take your card to almost any UGC cinema and use it (the bigger London cinemas being the exception).
Now armed with your card you head eagerly towards the cash desk, eager to see the movie of your choice - and meet the other hundred or so people who have had the same idea (the sea of denim).
This is the big catch. UGC is now the most popular cinema in Edinburgh, and you need to be there pretty early on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday night to get into any big movie. Its an all too frequent experience to turn up to discover very long queues, a voice over announcing the early evening shows are sold out and single seats only are left for later shows...
