Destiny Calling

Advantages: Good value enrty and drinks, wide selection of music, lots of fun.
Disadvantages: The alcohol is so cheap it can be too tempting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...I are all regulars at Destiny nightclub on Cambridge St, just off Sauchihall St. This club only opened last December and is vibrant and colourful with the best quality decor I have ever seen in a nightclub. Fully carpeted and featuring giant replicas of prehistoric creatures and trees, the interior decor is both interesting and pleasing to the eye- there is always something to look at. The club is genuinely massive inside with six bars over two levels, ...
...different type of ambience in Destiny ranging from cheesy to hard dance music. In my opinion and in that of my friends, the best nights to visit are a Tuesday or a Thursday night. On both these nights entry is at a bare minimum and once inside drinks offers are plentiful- watch for 95p vodka and red bull on a Tuesday and £1 for mainline sprits on Thursdays. There are always new offers available- keep an eye out for flyers advertising a £2 entry fee ... more

The path to destiny

Advantages: Suitable for all types of individual
Disadvantages: Takes too long to get served

The recent arrival of Destiny to the Glasgow nightclub scene has yet again opened a new door of possibility to city clubbers. Owned by the same company that runs Amadeus in Aberdeen, destiny offers an experience for every clubber. During the week it is more student orientated and the dress code is more relaxed but coming up to the weekend the club aims to attract the more discerning customer and in doing so up the "requirements" for entry. I have ...

Destiny

Advantages: You can get dressed up to go
Disadvantages: Expensive

Destiny in cambridge Street, near Sauchiehal Street is a good night out. It has very colourful and interesting decor that certainly catches the eye as you go in. Destiny has a major dancefloor, that is often slow to pick up, this could be due to the price of the drinks. Although there is often special promo offers on and free drinks tasting. There are also many special events such as a foam party and fancy dress night. The club has a VIP lounge upstairs, which ...

Not for serious Clubbers!!!

Advantages: Nice decor, ladies toilets upstairs!
Disadvantages: Not for serious clubbers, music verging on pop, drinks are too expensive

...the somewhat impressive in decor, Destiny Nightclub, several times, I have drawn the following conclusions... Firstly, there is no denying the place has a superior design as far as nightclubs go and is a fair size. Oh the ladies toilets upstairs are a must see!! However, it cannot be denied that this place IS NOT for the serious clubber. In the fist instance the music played, even on a Saturday night, verges on chart pop at times, not what a clubber ...
...and are planning to go clubbing for some serious dancing and pumping tunes, definately avoid Destiny and try perhaps InsideOut at The Arches which is getting rave reviews. But if drinking loads and dancing round your handbag is your thing then Destiny is the place to be for you. ...

Thomson Destiny - Tropical Transatlantic

Advantages: Price, All inclusive Option, transatlantic crossing
Disadvantages: lower level engine noise, tired cabins - could do with a refit

Thomson Destiny -Tropical Transatlantic Dec 2008 We booked this cruise in October 2007 and obtained an all inclusive deal as our last cruise cost us an extra £600 pound, mainly in drinks costs! We had previously cruised with Thompson last year on the Celebration and think that I actually prefer the layout of the smaller sister ship for a number of reasons, which I will probably touch on later in the review. The early flight from Manchester to Lisbon was on time and uneventful but on arrival at Lisbon I could only describe organised chaos. In all 5 flights had arrived from the UK with cruise passengers and all landed within a very short space of time and due to a malfunction of the baggage handling system, all the luggage arrived for all the planes at the same time, which had a knock on effect on the rest of the usual embarkation ...

Review of Thomson Holidays

Mediterranean Renaissance on Thomson Destiny

Advantages: Fantastic facilities, great staff, ports of call
Disadvantages: Not the cheapest holiday you could go for

much else to say about this cruise. A week on Thomson Destiny is great. The only thing I would suggest is to go for two weeks instead! The final disembarktion was a bit of a mess, with cases being transported off the boat and some people having lost their passes but everything went smoothly in the end. I would definitely reccommend this cruise to anyone and everyone. ...

Review of Thomson Travel - Mediterranean Cruise

Thomson Destiny Cruise Ship

Advantages: Great Value Fabulous service
Disadvantages: expensive excursions, ship a little aged

We travelled on Thomson Destiny on it's first mediteranian cruise of 2006 on May 4th. We had cruised on this ship previously when it was owned by Airtours and named Sunbird. The Destiny is the biggest in the Thomson fleet. I must say the improvements under the Thomson brand were very much evident. As this was our honeymoon we booked two 1 week cruises, back to back. This cost us about £1,900 with free all inclusive upgrade. We did book an inside cabin as on all my previous cruises I had always been upgraded to an outside cabin. Unfortunately we did were not upgraded and found out on the cruise from passengers that Thomson do not upgrade passengers to outside cabins free of charge. We flew to Majorca from Doncaster Robin Hood on the Thursday departing around 0600 hours. At our arrival airport there was a delay with coaches taking ...
