I had to opportunity to see this museum a few years ago. I went to Munich from Austria just for one day or I can say just for a few hours. That’s why I couldn’t see Munich properly, However I was luck that I visited this museum.

Deutsches Museum is a world-famous museum. We were told that every year over one million people visit this museum. What makes it world-famous is that it is the largest museum of technology in the world. You cannot figure out how big it is before going to Munich and visiting the museum. It is located on an island in the city. The museum’s exhibition area spread over four floors. The museum has over 15.000 exhibits.

The museum is divided into 45 sections on four floors. You can see the original vehicles in the basement and on the ground floor. When you see all those cars, trains, aircrafts, you may think about if they built the other floors after putting those vehicles inside.
There are so many huge exhibit that may make you ask this question ? I still don’t know how they did it. I don’t remember much about the other floors but I think there were scientific stuff on the other floors. On the fourth floor, there are sections representing the highest technology , astronomy and all other stuff.

You will absolutely be amazed by the size of the exhibits such as aircrafts and ferries and locomotives and all other things that now I cannot remember.

I could not see the all exhibits but it took hours to see most of them anyway. If your time is limited , you’d better determine the exhibits you would like to see beforehand.

Entrance fee : 12 DM (Adults) 5 DM (student and children)

Once you go to Munich, also you should absolutely see Television Tower and Munich Olympic Stadium. Those were only places I could see in my limited time.

The museum was the largest and the most interesting one I have ever seen. I am sure you will like Munich and will be amazed by the museum and as well.
