Phillips
Advantages: Near the Beach Disadvantages: Expensive for what you get and paying extra for swimming pool
On a return visit - and after upgrading to supposedly a better caravan and paying the difference, all I can say that it was incredibly disappointing. Earwigs in the fridge and an oven looking like it had not been cleaned since the caravan was bought. Windows cracked, cobwebs everywhere and filthy crockery and cutlery. Verandah covered in ancient bird droppings and totally unsafe patio set. We had been given a private caravan that had become available ... ...in some respects. Upon complaining they were apologetic but following the holiday we were offered a mere £50 off our next holiday there with an explanation that unfortunately sometimes things go wrong. Certainly will not go again or recommend it. Staff were apologetic but considering we had been kept waiting in the car part for some 5 hours because the caravan was waiting to be cleaned it was a total fabrication. There is no way it had been cleaned. ...

Most Uncomfortable Bed Ever
Advantages: Pleasant and friendly Staff, beautiful surroundings and stunning views Disadvantages: Worn out and dirty caravan, fine if you like bingo, lager and slot machines
...Saunton, through Croyde and along Woolacombe beach up to Morthoe. Other attractions include Clovelly, Watermouth Castle, Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park as well as many excellent local pubs serving good food and real ale. Barnstaple is a very pleasant town. It was a wrench to return to the caravan each night.
Will be going back to the area but not this site. Grateful to be home again. ...

Amaze yourself
Advantages: Lots to see and do for all ages. Lovely scenery. Pleasant environment. Disadvantages: The eco-toilets are a little on the "ripe" side and for the brave only.
...Donkey Sanctuary at Sidmouth and Escot Park at Ottery St Mary (both in Devon). Therefore, pup in tow, we duly set of one sunny July day to explore the possibilities of a good day out at Escot Park.
WHAT IS THERE TO DO AT ESCOT?
Situated in East Devon, Escot is the home of Kennaway family, and has been for over two hundred years. However, instead of doing the usual thing and opening their Georgian Stately House to the public (or handing it ... ...The part of Escot open to the general public is an area of parkland, where they have played on the great natural beauty of the area, and complimented rather than spoiled it. They’ve done a very nice job of making a delightful country park for families to enjoy nature at its best.
We decided to visit as I rather liked the sound of the maze at Escot, and the gardens and surrounding woodlands sounded pretty interesting too. Added to which the Tattie ...

Brilliant Holiday At Lady's Mile Touring Park!
Advantages: Clean Practical and good Location Disadvantages: Showers and toilets CLEAN.... but dated.
I went on my first ever camping holiday with my girlfriend at Lady's Mile and we had a brilliant time. It all went well we only had a minor leak in our tent which was our only problem with the whole week.
Anyways, back to the park perfect location to get around and visit a lot of different seaside resorts and attractions. This was the main reason we picked the park and were a little apprehensive about lady's mile with a couple of bad reviews and ... ...in the morning and found the receptionist very friendly and helpful, we were given wristbands and an informational booklet and then told to find a pitch and enjoy your stay. Now I’ve been to a few caravan parks as a kid and I have never been asked to find a pitch, but there’s plenty, all different sizes and all close to the toilets and the showers. As for the toilets and showers they are a little dated but i only went in to the toilet 3 times when ...
