Advantages Advantages Family friendly, great location on the nice sandy beach

Disadvantages Disadvantages The entertainment is 95% for children

We went to Devon Cliffs on the first week of October 2011. We went here after taking advantage of The Sun holiday promotions so it was a very cheap break indeed. We went as four adults and their two year old boy. I hadn't been to a Haven site since I was a kid so didn't really know what to expect but on arrival we were very pleased with the location and appearance of the park. The park was very clean, didn't spot a piece of litter so this was a big bonus. The site is perched on a cliff so at most points of the site a sea view is available like the view we had from our caravan. We stayed in a ... more

    Advantages Advantages entertainment, pool, beach

    Disadvantages Disadvantages arcades expensive, food

Just spent a weekend there with my partner, 4 year old daughter, 12 week old son, partners mum, dad, nan, two brothers and their girlfriends - what a nightmare! Only because of the company though. The park itself was quite good. We've done a few of the Haven parks for the last 3 years. Its brilliant entertainment for the kids especially under 10. Not sure if they would be any good for older children. Will let you know when we reach that point. We booked through the SUN promotions and so cost us £15 each plus entertainment passes and electric. Altogether cost (just the 4 of us) £80 for a Friday ... more

Advantages Advantages The kids will love it.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Your wallet may not!!

A few years ago i actually used to work for Haven as part of their Havenmate entertainments team. I used to always say that i would never come on holiday to one of these places, now here i am a few years down the road, with a family and a whole different perspective. We booked at Devon Cliffs, once hailed by all us Haven mates and the company itself as the Flagship camp. To tell you the truth, perhaps a few years ago it may have been but i wouldnt really say that now. Its a big park and has been modernised and greatly expanded over the last few years, but the layout was the thing that we found ... more

Advantages Advantages pools, adventure golf, good choice of food

Disadvantages Disadvantages disgusting beach, too far from decent seaside town, accomomadation, too hilly

For the last 3 years we have been to a Haven site, the previous 2 years we went to Golden Sands in Mablethorpe and thoroughly enjoyed it so this year we thought we would try somewhere different. As Devon Cliffs is Havens "flagship park" we thought we would try it. It looked spectacular in the brochure and we were really looking forward to it. What a disappointment! The park itself is far too big, too many caravans for the size of the entertainment complex. The pools were excellent however although the outdoor pools are so much smaller than they look on the website although the lockers cost you ... more

Advantages Advantages great for kids, interesting activities, clean site

Disadvantages Disadvantages price, not alot around for those without children

We visited Devon Cliffs in July 2011 as part of a Sun Holiday, costing around £120 for the weekend, (was quoted around £500 on Haven website). The site is huge and very hilly so probably not best for wheelchair users and at times pushchair users. The site is owned by Haven and is clearly family orientated with actvities like swimming, wall climbing, miniature golf, children's aqua-doming and the arcade. Its location is also better suited to those with young children (up to around age 12 I think) as many of the local attractions are things such as farms and small fairgrounds. There is also a ... more
