Torquay's best hotels on one site
Advantages: So much to do, nice rooms, friendly staff Disadvantages: None
...hold civil ceremonies and the TLH Leisure resort came up. I sent off for a brochure and was amazed with what came in with the package, one of the cheapest we had found. We arranged to have a look around the hotels and decide on which (if any) we would like to hold the wedding and reception in. Each hotel had its good and bad points but we decided we liked the Toorak and the Carlton and found it difficult to decide which we preferred.
We eventually ... ...was an amazing choice, the wedding planner was fantastic, she helped us plan everything to the tiniest detail. On the day she was excellent, ensuring everything ran to plan, so we didn't have to worry about a thing. The food was fabulous and the whole day went without a hitch. I really don't think I could praise the hotel enough. ~*~*~EXTRA INFORMATION~*~*~

Disappearing in Luxury
Advantages: Glorious Gormet Food and Cozy Comfortable Rooms. Disadvantages: Rather hard to find.
...a one night stay at Northcote Manor for my birthday three years ago and I still have fond memories of our stay. It was a rather unplanned break and having fleetingly looked up some random hotels in Devon and Cornwall before leaving; this one stuck in my memory remembering the beautiful images on their website, of the hotel and its location.
It was quite difficult to find in its out of the way location and the mile or so climb up the private drive ... ...been recently serviced. It was very secluded and beautiful in its woodland surroundings, but might give some the heebeegeebees at being so isolated.
I am quite shocked to discover that the hotel only receives three stars as it appeared to be a huge leap above the two stars we had been popping into for a night's stay on the rest of our long weekend tour. As it was unplanned the greeting we received looking rather dishevelled in our old Fiesta wasn't ...

Go west!
Advantages: inexpensive and convenient Disadvantages: the bed!
My parents live in Dawlish and, I don't know whether they were trying to tell us something, but the moment my sisters and I had all left home, they promptly sold the family home and moved into a one bedroom flat! It's lovely for them, but it does mean that every time we want to come and visit we need to find accommodation elsewhere. After having tried a few other options, we now seem to have settled on the Exeter Travelodge as our place to stay when ... ...price! Firstly it is very well located as it is part of the Exeter Service area at Junction 30 of the M5 which is the main route into Devon and Cornwall from just about anywhere else in the country. The actual address is: Moto Service Area M5 Motorway, Sandygate, Exeter, EX2 7HF The fact that it is located at the service area means that if you are using it as a stopover on a longer journey, you don't have to worry about wasting time trying ...

A Bad Nights Sleep at Plymouth Travelodge
Advantages: Good location Disadvantages: Lumpy Beds, Noisy
...having never stayed in a Travelodge before, but had heard that they were a cheap alternative.
~~Price~~
I have to say that I was quite shocked at how much one night would cost as I have stayed in cheaper and more luxurious places than this before. Unfortunately we couldn’t find a room anywhere else in Plymouth for that night due to various events that were taking place in the city. The Travelodge we eventually looked at didn’t have any standard ... ...payment.
~~Location~~
The Travelodge is in a great location within Plymouth, although it also has some downsides to this particular location. The hotel is right in the middle of the town centre - a stones throw away from all the shop and is located at the back of Union Street (main street running through the town). This means pretty much everything you would want to see is within walking distance.
However the downside to this location is that ...

Advantages: Really convenient location, Good value from all aspects, excells in quality, service and food Disadvantages: none
...sleep after staying at the Best Western Tiverton Hotel. The room was absolutely spotless, the staff very friendly - and facilities surprised me with free Wifi, a printer, flat screen tv, desk/office area and an exceptionally comfy bed. Food and service in the restaurant couldn't be faulted - 2 courses and a pint for under £20. Very convenient location. This hotel is a hidden gem and comes highly recommended ...
