Promised a lot, but let down - we were so disappointed

Advantages: Lovely location and building
Disadvantages: Service and Food

We stayed 3 nights on half board - the location is lovely and the hotel seemed very nice on arrival. Our first disappointment came with the evening meal - the food is mass produced and left a lot to be desired - the beef from the carvery was a bit tough and the vegtables were just so over cooked (probably due to standing on the hotplate for so long). The smorgasboard on the saturday night was th best foor of our stay. On returning to our room on ...

It was obviously an ongoing problem from what we were told by the cleaning staff - Room 38 - avoid it. Certainly the management didn't ask if we were happy after reporting the problem.
