Advantages: Within short walking distance of centre, friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere
Disadvantages: Bar pricey and lounge area needs refurbished

I have had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for an extended period last year. Whilst the hotel is due for major refurbishment, the only area this showed was the lounge bar area (flooring). The lounge is comfortable, fabulous large comfy settees, the staff are amazing and cant do enough for you. Drinks tend to be pricey and the bar menu is limited, although the restaurant serves a lovely evening meal and breakfasts to die for. The continental ...
...of full breakfast, which is normally very good, though during the week can be a bit slow dependent on your choice of breakfast time. The hotel seems to cater mostly for business people during the week , weekends, older couples and wedding parties. The rooms are a good size and all have ensuite (they even have volume controls so you can listen to the TV or radio in the bath!!) Promised a lot, but let down - we were so disappointed

Advantages: Lovely location and building
Disadvantages: Service and Food

We stayed 3 nights on half board - the location is lovely and the hotel seemed very nice on arrival. Our first disappointment came with the evening meal - the food is mass produced and left a lot to be desired - the beef from the carvery was a bit tough and the vegtables were just so over cooked (probably due to standing on the hotplate for so long). The smorgasboard on the saturday night was th best foor of our stay. On returning to our room on ...
