Its Bliss to stay at Ibis

Advantages: European Feel, and good valus for money
Disadvantages: Bath are too short, breakfast excluded

...Inn and cheaper. The Ibis is easy to find as it is on the main dualcarriageway when entering the city. It is also on a hill so you can spot the green/red sign in good time. Pulling up at the Ibis offers ample parking and the reception is well sign posted. There are only 51 rooms. There is even parking for a coach/mini bus. The rooms are good value - £46.95 weekdays and weekends. This is for peak season, but during the off season prices are about ...
...OK. The Ibis has rooms for disabled and they accept pets which is good, it is only a 10mins drive to the sea front or 10 mins the otherway and you are at dartmoor. It is also right next to the Plymouth Ski Slope. You can arrange wake up calls but breakfast is not included in the price. Breakfast is £4.25 per person and is european style. Their breakfast is awesome, warm fresh baguettes, cheese, ham, eggs, fresh coffee. You get cereal, yoghurts, ...

Plymouth Copthore Hotel

Advantages: Great Location
Disadvantages: More of a Good 3* Hotel than a 4* Hotel.

...mixed views on the Plymouth Copthorne Hotel. I have stayed here numerous times, and have experienced a variety of services from "average" to "good". Official details about the hotel (and booking rates) can be found here: http://www.benbow.org.uk/CopthornePlymouth.htm First of all, I have never had a "bad" experience in the Copthorne. There have been times where an issue arose, but this was then sorted out by the front desk staff. Saying that, the ...
...so the rate at the Copthorne isn't that bad. It is located at the top end of the town. This means it is great to explore Plymouth - the shopping is on your doorstep, and Plymouth Hoe and Barbican are about a 10 minute walk away. It is also away from the bars/pubs that are at the lower end of town, so noise disturbance is surprisingly low for a town center hotel. When you check out, you are more than welcome to leave bags at reception for the rest ...

A good, 'Sound' Hotel!!!

Advantages: Central Location.
Disadvantages: Red-light district!

...------------------ Best Western Duke of Cornwall Hotel - Plymouth Devon The Best Western Duke of Cornwall Hotel is set in the heart of Plymouth city centre directly opposite the Plymouth Pavilions where a lot of concerts and shows are held. The hotel is also a ten minute (max) walk from Plymouth Ferry port or 5 minutes (max) to drive. Plymouth airport is only 5 miles away. It is also well positioned for city centre shopping and the well renowned ...
...later. --------------- The Hotel:- The hotel proudly holds 3 Stars and 1 Rosette for the restaurant. It is an exceptionally unusual looking hotel in Victorian Gothic style. And from what I am aware it is 5 stories high so thankfully there is a lift!! The hotel has 71 Bedrooms 27 of which are doubles, 11 are singles, 28 twin rooms and 1 family room. Every room has a television, internet access, hairdryer, trouser press and have 24 hour room service. ...

Royal Fleet Club experience

Advantages: None that I can think of
Disadvantages: Cramped, scruffy, noisy and bad food

Arrived here after 5 hour drive from London. Very hard to imagine poorer value for money or facilities. Grubby and very cramped double room. Cigarette burns in blanket on rock-hard bed. Window didn't shut and curtains couldn't shut out light or noise from downstairs party, which also didn't meet at top due to being broken. Oh yes - we were banned from the hotel bar by an extremely agresssive woman because we were not part of the party. Bathroom Shower ...
...in case you forgot to bring your own. (Like us)! 'Minature' TV which just about managed 3 stations by performing acrobatics with manual set-top aerial. Shoddy attempt at amateur decorating with blue paint dripping from walls onto white paintwork. The 'Last Straw' was breakfast where at no time were ALL the ingredients of the so called cooked breakfast assembled at any one time! This necessitated queueing for a grim and greasy breakfast which had ...

A stunning hotel perfect for weddings

Advantages: Beautiful building and grounds
Disadvantages: Disabled access is poor

Boringdon Hall is an amazing old 16th century manor house with links to Henry the VIII. In March 1989 part of the house was burnt down in a tragic fire and a lot of money was put into it to restore it back to its former glory. It is surrounded by 7acres of beautiful gardens and looks like something you would see in a period drama. It has 41 bedrooms and this includes 4 rooms with stunning four poster beds. Boringdon Hall not only hosts wedding but ...
...recently had their reception at Boringdon Hall so we thought we'd take a look. It was about 10 minutes away from our parish church so thought it would be ideal if we liked it. We drove to Plympton and it was sign posted from the main road which was very handy as we weren't entirely sure where it was even though we were both 'born and bred' Plymouthians. There was a long driveway which headed up to the building which was shaded by trees which we ...
