This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, its even worse than any hostel I have ever stayed in. Its dirty, unsafe, unwelcoming, noisy and generally horrific. I would not be surprised if they rented rooms by the hour. On every floor there is an armed security guard, which doesn't fill you with confidence. The rooms don't lock. The night club across the road goes on until the small hours (3.30 pm in our case, on a Sunday night) - we were on the eighth floor and coudls till hear the music very very clearly. The bathroom leaked, but was in any event more disgusting than shared bathrooms in a youth hostel. No aircon or even a fan. Despite sleeping on my sarong on top of the 'bed' i was covered in bites from bed bugs in the morning. Oh and at about 4am gun fire could be heard coming from fairly close by - luckily this isn't something that woke us as there wasnt any chance of any sleep in the hotel to begin with. Do whatever you can to avoid staying here.
