As the person to nominate Dial a Flight onto Ciao, I feel its only fitting that I provide the first insight into the ways of this here tour operator.
Dial a Flight first came to my attention when browsing teletext for a cheap flight to USA - I had no plans for a holiday however, but was just bored at work. Well I found a flight to LA for 175 pounds, I thought "a bargain".
So gave them a call (still no intention of going mind), and was cheerfully greeted by a pleasant young operator who asked my reasons for calling, I told her, I was passed on immediately to the correct dept, I mentioned the deal and instantly said flight was fully explained.
I was asked the kind of holiday I would be interested in once in the States, I was truthful in saying a flight and a car would be all I want, as I always fancied a west coast USA drive without the set route. I was told that’s no problem and in a totally chilled out way and totally on my level I was asked what I really would like and how much I would like to spend.
As I reeled off my ideal holiday " convertible” car no restriction on where I can go, trip to LasVegas etc....... the sound of keys tapped away until a complete list of car rental, insurance and average hotel prices in all my preferred stop overs were read to me.
I was convinced, I called to my boss if I can have a couple of weeks off, rang my mate explained the situation, and told the lovely dial a flight girl, ill call you right back.
Being a tight arse I called another tour operator explained the deal and got a cheaper price! So back I went to Dial a Flight explained the Situation, got a cheaper deal!
So I went back and fourth, back and fourth, until one of them folded, and I got the deal of a century!!!!! I won’t say exactly how much, but man! it pays to haggle!
Payment was a pain in the arse though, I didn’t have a credit, switch or Delta card, so a wire transfer was the only was to pay, but thetas me, have a crap bank!
Other than that, all was cool! Tickets arrived a few days later, a couple of courtesy calls to make sure everything is ok, and even one just to wish me a good Time! Now that’s service!
I think this is the best Travel service I have ever used, and I have been all around the world! I even get a monthly news letter and deal brochure giving details of all up coming deals, the best deal from the month before and details of a different destination with every issue!! its great!!!

I've used dial a flight loads of times and always been pleased with their service. They were very helpful when my son was travelling to spain on his own for the first time, and I needed some sort of assistance for him at the departure airports. The haggling sounds good I think I might try this next time I travel and see whether it works for me.

Ok i will tell you all, was £350 for return to LA, convertible car for 10 days, full insurance and taxes!!

Advantages: ALTHOUGH YOU CAN GET THROUGHT TO THEIR OPERATORS BUT ITS IN THEIR INTEREST. Disadvantages: THEY ALWAYS F@#K SOMETHING UP, AND NEVER TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. I AM SO UPSET AND RATTLED. CRAP!!!!

Advantages: Warm weather all year round, Absoloutley beautiful beaches and scenery, Great wildlife tours i.e. Turtle beaches, Friendly and helpful people, generally cheap Disadvantages: Many products unavailable due to its remoteness, can be extremely hot from May to September, Excluding main cities - not many people speak english and will need an Arabic phrasebook
