As far as I know, the only way to get to this airport from the UK is to fly with Ryanair from London Stansted (STN) airport. I did so because it was extremely cheap (only £1.50 each way plus tax) and because I was visiting Brittany itself and so could fly close to where I was going to be based.
The airport is extremely small. I would guess that the main building itself is smaller than your average Woolworths. The plane lands, you get off and wait for a tractor and trailer to take your luggage to the collection area (no, I'm not joking). There it gets put on a conveyor belt, but be quick to catch your case or else it will just drop off the end.
The terminal building has very limited facilities; a couple of toilets, a small handful of check-in desks, some tourist information, and a few car rental companies. Refreshments are limited to a couple of vending machines, so bring your own snacks.
If you are not lucky, as I was, to have a friend or relative collecting you from the airport, renting a car may be a good idea as the airport is pretty much out of reach. However, if this isn't an option, a coach runs at times to correspond with flights to and from St. Malo station (about 30mins / £2 each way). Once there you can connect with trains to Rennes, and on to other parts of France. There are also taxis available.
While the airport itself is very basic, the option of flying direct to Brittany is appealing and I would probably fly into here again.
