I would just like to write a review on Come Dine With Me, a reality TV show that is shown on Channel Four at around five o'clock in the afternoon along with regular repeats on E4.
So what is the idea behind the show?
Well, four or five people who don't know one another but all come from the same area/ town take it in turns to cook a three course meal for the others in the group who are their guests for the evening. Although they are meant to ideally cook the meal from scratch, there is nothing to stop them from buying the food in already made so as all they have to do is to reheat it. But the only item in theh rules that stops them from cheating, is that they are not really allowed o get any help from another person (also some of them do!).

I guess it is something of a surprise to find a wonderful restaurant serving superb food in Harwich but it shouldn't be if you know the area. The people who own and manage The Pier Hotel are the same people who own the Talbooth, Maison Talbooth and Milsoms not far from Colchester. You get the same excellent service and great food but you also get a wonderful view of the harbour where you can watch anything from fishing boats to massive cruise liners and across the water you can see the pretty Shotley peninsular.
