In the past our family have stayed at disney on a number of occasions and thought for a change we would stay at the new pop century disney resort. Located at the disney resort in Florida USA, this resort is very central for all disney parks and attractions
We found this hotel great, you really felt you were in the heart of all the disney fun the rooms were colourful, spacious and child friendly
The staff were very friendly and coureous and always on hand to help
RESORT
Pop Century Resort was completed in 2004 and is one of the newest disney "affordable" hotels. Expanding 4 floors and a massive 5760 rooms the buildings are each separately themed on different decades of the last century. What this basically means there are different buildings ie 1950's, 1960's, 1970's, 1980's and 1990's. Each theme has larger than life icons including a massive rubiks cube (1980's) and playdoh. Different themes also include pop dance crazes like the twist and hot toys.
FACILITIES
Facilities include 24 hr reception, 4 outdoor pools, laundry rooms, games arcade, food court, pool bar, swing park and a large 7,000 square foot shopping area

ROOMS
The 5760 rooms are all very similar aiming for a family of 4 each room has 2 kingsize beds, cable TV, air conditioning, telephone, internet services, safe, bathroom with shower, alarm and maid services. All rooms are standard but unfortunately you cant upgrade as all rooms are the same.

There is a large food court offering a variety of different foods and great prices it is a self service restaurant open 6am - 12 midnight

22 miles from airport - MEARS airport bus shuttle service available to hotel at approx $30 each return
Prices vary drastically between each tour operator but if your not looking for a package deal i found going through disney direct or a search on the internet to compare prices was the best prices start from around £70 per room per night which is great value for a family of 4 as is is per room not per person averaging at around £17 each but it can be even cheaper with special offers
