I always would recommend purchasing your tickets before you leave the UK as you tend to get better value. You can purchase 2,3,4 and 5 day hopper tickets allowing you access to both parks starting from £65 per adult and at least you don't have to queue up to purchase tickets when you arrive.
*~*Disneyland Park*~*
As with all Disney Parks there are themed areas, at the entrance you will access Disneyland via Main Street USA designed around the 1900's it is here where you will find shops, dining facilities and the rail station to move you around the park. One thing I noticed about this park is that it was very small, at the time I had nothing to compare it to but having been to Walt Disney World this is very compact, squeezing as many rides as possible into this small space.
Tomorrowland is designed in a futuristic manner and this is accessed to the right of Main Street USA and this is where you will find Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters a great ride for all ages also present in the other Disney Parks, it is a spinning ride with laser guns used to beat off Buzz's evil nemesis. Space Mountain is a fantastic rollercoaster in the dark its fast and one of the best rides in Disney. Startours is one of the original rides there and is a little outdated now but you just have to still go on it.
Fantasyland is designed with the younger generation in mind offering storybook character rides such as Alice in Wonderland and Dumbo the flying elephant and the ever popular ride "It's a Small World" which will have you singing the tune over and over and over in your head! A great learning experience with animatronics in miniature that resemble puppets wearing the traditional costume from that country and the song is designed to bring all the countries together as one a nice slow moving ride for everyone to enjoy.
Mickey's Toontown is where you can meet your favourite Disney Characters Mickey and Minnie and even climb aboard Chip"n"Dale's treehouse which is exactly what I did!! You can have a photo opportunity outside Mickey and Minnie's House and meet all of the Winnie The Pooh Characters too its like walking straight into a cartoon.
Adventureland is thrilling with the Indiana Jones ride its definitely one of the most popular rides there fast, fun and a little surprise thrown in as well you won't want to miss this one! Jungle Cruise is another great ride where you can experience different jungles with you very wacky Jungle Cruise guide its entertaining from start to finish as a bit of interaction is required.
Frontierland is themed as the Old-West with Big Thunder Mountain a traditional rollercoaster suitable for any rollercoaster enthusiast and this is also the area that you can board that Mark Twain Riverboat and take some time out from all those high adrenalin rides and step back in time.
Critter Country is where you will find Spalsh Mountain which is a real Zip a dee doo dah ride with Brer Rabbit a friends a thrilling water ride and one of my favourites. The Country Bear playhouse is also in this area offering a show with animatronics its entertaining and fun, maybe geared around the younger children as I was not all that impressed with this one.
New Orleans Square houses the Haunted Mansion a ride with real ghosts it's a proper ride that is really enjoyable for everybody. Pirates of the Caribbean is also now located in New Orleans Square but at the time of my visit it was not finished so I am unable to review this ride…even though I really want to!! The Enchanted Tiki Room is a great show that you won't want to miss and that is all I am going to say on this show. Don't miss it!!
I would also recommend the Fastpass tickets for the bigger rides if there are large queues then enter your admission ticket into the fastpass machine and a ticket will be generated for your to return and bypass the queue. It's a free service so make use of it and fill up the time watching a show or visiting another attraction and that way you will make the most of your time at Disneyland.
Shows and Parades are not to be missed and make sure you get a good place at the front if you want some good photographs to return home with the parades start at Main Street USA and the streets tend to be closed off about an hour before the parade is due to start and this is normally the best time to grab a drink and relax before they start.
The park is immaculate there is never any rubbish to be seen as it is quickly swept up by the many staff circulating the park and as for the washrooms these are serviced all the time you will find them the best public toilets ever.
I do have to say if I was to visit any of the Disney Parks in the States in the near future I would have to choose Walt Disney World despite there being many similarities I had a much better time in Florida than in California as the park is smaller which gives you a cramped feeling which as you can imagine when it is busy it really can be a pain to get around and some of the battling that goes on for a good place to watch the parades I have never seen anything like it!!
I have set myself a quest to try and see all of the Disney Parks and with my visit to Disneyland Paris coming up I am sure I will find it very similar to this park in terms of size and attractions.
One thing to remember though it you will have a good experience in any of the Disney Parks that is what they are designed on to take you away from everyday reality and bring you into Walt Disney's world of dreams and that's really how you feel in a Disney Park.
Disneyland is in the Disneyland Resort with Downtown Disney and Disney's California Adventure. Disneyland is the Original Disney Park. This was Walt's dream and it became a huge reality. Opening in 1955 the park is still "The Happiest Place on Earth.” The main thing you’ll notice in the park is how small it actually is. Unlike Disney World in Florida the California Park is much more compact which leads to less tiring out of young children’s ... ...now been introduced at the Disneyland Resort and is the innovative timesaving service, which has changed the way guests, enjoy the Disney Parks. Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin, The Indiana Jones Adventure, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain, Star Tours and Autopia all feature this time saving device. Fastpass allows you to collect a voucher, which gives you a time. Then you can go experience ...

...and surf. Think again, Disneyland may be in the golden state of the US, but it is its own little world on the fringe of the fast paced completely hyperactive Los Angeles. I have to admit that I recently visited in May of this year with my family. Yes I am 22, my brother (my twin), and my mom and dad visited as a nuclear unit and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
It is fairly pricey, at $110 USD for three days, but there are flex passes available that ... ...basically the grown-ups version of Disneyland contemporary style. Disneyland itself is still a land away from time. There are rides to suit all tastes, a favourite of the whole family was 'Pirates of the Caribbean', newly open after complaints of politically incorrect scenes in history. Favourite hi-intesity rides: Space Mountain, Matterhorn Mountain, ThunderMountain (see the pattern) Railroad, Splash Mountain... all rollercoasters of sorts; not ...

...my 12 year old to Disneyland as I thought it would be great.
Unfortunately we went after our visit to Universal Studios.
There is generally a free shuttle from all the major hotels to Disneyland. Disneyland is open from 8am till 12 midnight. However the Roger Rabbit ride closes before dusk so if u have kids dont forget to do that ride before night falls.
Our favourite ride was space mountain though it did break down and it took an hour to get ... ...Mountain Railroad and the Matterhorn quite scary as I had to duck down as I went thru the tunnels.
There are two parades but get there early as most people decide to stand up in front of you so if you are small its very difficult to see. Also keep behind the ropes otherwise you will be moved.
I didnt find the food and drink that expensive but be careful if you are on a tight budget.
There did not seem to be much in the way of entertainment while ...

Review of Disneyland (California)
Advantages: Seriousl good fun for any age. Disadvantages: A tad dear inside.(food and drink)
Disneyland, land of Mickey ad Minnie, a land of fairy tale castles and Snow White. A land for children. NO. Disney is for anyone, no matter how old or young, how tough or butch, you should really go, just to get in touch with that 'sensititve' side all the nineties films go on about.

There are many rides and adventures to go on, all of which have ... ...with kids, as any self respecting adult would, then be aware that some rides have height restrictions. My favourite ride was the log flume but that was several years ago so it could have improved. I stayed in a hotel outside of the complex which was refreshing although i expect that the disney hotels would offer a better level of service. Try and eat well as there is a tendency to eat junk food an if on a budget take food and drink in with you as ...

...Florida Disneyworld and Los Angeles Disneyland and I think that Walt Disneyworld is the better of the two. This park is much smaller than I expected and because of this, most of the rides and attractions are squashed into a small space and it feels very crowded.
I was 17 when I visited so most people would say the magic is lost on me. But even my parents understand and apreciate what Disney tries to achieve. In this park there is still magic and ... ...size I cannot see how they can add anymore rides and thus some will lose out.
The original park, similar the Magic Kingdom is certainly for younger members, with child friendly rides and parades. As you would expect the park was extremely busy in August and some of the rides in this park had been shut. For us this was a disapointment as mainly the rides that had been closed were slightly more adventurous and thus us teenagers wanted to have a go! ...

Advantages: A classic Disney ride, fun for almost everyone, can Fastpass Disadvantages: Queues and isn't exactly white knuckle!
Big Thunder Mountain is a ride in Disneyland Paris. There is also a version of the same ride in Magic Kingdom Florida and DisneylandCalifornia.
It can be found in 'Frontierland' which is situated on the west side of the park. Other attractions in Frontierland include the Phantom Manor and the Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing (which is a big Mississippi riverboat which sails the lake around Big Thunder Mountain). As with all the rides in Disneyland you don't have to pay to ride Big Thunder Mountain as the price for rides is included in the entry fee.
You can't miss Big Thunder Mountain as it is set on a huge orangey red rock and as the ride is in contant use trains go by every minute or so.
The theme behind the ride is that gold was discovered on big thunder mountain way back in the late 1880's and a mining company soon ...
