I always would recommend purchasing your tickets before you leave the UK as you tend to get better value. You can purchase 2,3,4 and 5 day hopper tickets allowing you access to both parks starting from £65 per adult and at least you don't have to queue up to purchase tickets when you arrive.
*~*Disneyland Park*~*
As with all Disney Parks there are themed areas, at the entrance you will access Disneyland via Main Street USA designed around the 1900's it is here where you will find shops, dining facilities and the rail station to move you around the park. One thing I noticed about this park is that it was very small, at the time I had nothing to compare it to but having been to Walt Disney World this is very compact, squeezing as many rides as possible into this small space.
Tomorrowland is designed in a futuristic manner and this is accessed to the right of Main Street USA and this is where you will find Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters a great ride for all ages also present in the other Disney Parks, it is a spinning ride with laser guns used to beat off Buzz's evil nemesis. Space Mountain is a fantastic rollercoaster in the dark its fast and one of the best rides in Disney. Startours is one of the original rides there and is a little outdated now but you just have to still go on it.
Fantasyland is designed with the younger generation in mind offering storybook character rides such as Alice in Wonderland and Dumbo the flying elephant and the ever popular ride "It's a Small World" which will have you singing the tune over and over and over in your head! A great learning experience with animatronics in miniature that resemble puppets wearing the traditional costume from that country and the song is designed to bring all the countries together as one a nice slow moving ride for everyone to enjoy.
Mickey's Toontown is where you can meet your favourite Disney Characters Mickey and Minnie and even climb aboard Chip"n"Dale's treehouse which is exactly what I did!! You can have a photo opportunity outside Mickey and Minnie's House and meet all of the Winnie The Pooh Characters too its like walking straight into a cartoon.
Adventureland is thrilling with the Indiana Jones ride its definitely one of the most popular rides there fast, fun and a little surprise thrown in as well you won't want to miss this one! Jungle Cruise is another great ride where you can experience different jungles with you very wacky Jungle Cruise guide its entertaining from start to finish as a bit of interaction is required.
Frontierland is themed as the Old-West with Big Thunder Mountain a traditional rollercoaster suitable for any rollercoaster enthusiast and this is also the area that you can board that Mark Twain Riverboat and take some time out from all those high adrenalin rides and step back in time.
Critter Country is where you will find Spalsh Mountain which is a real Zip a dee doo dah ride with Brer Rabbit a friends a thrilling water ride and one of my favourites. The Country Bear playhouse is also in this area offering a show with animatronics its entertaining and fun, maybe geared around the younger children as I was not all that impressed with this one.
New Orleans Square houses the Haunted Mansion a ride with real ghosts it's a proper ride that is really enjoyable for everybody. Pirates of the Caribbean is also now located in New Orleans Square but at the time of my visit it was not finished so I am unable to review this ride…even though I really want to!! The Enchanted Tiki Room is a great show that you won't want to miss and that is all I am going to say on this show. Don't miss it!!
I would also recommend the Fastpass tickets for the bigger rides if there are large queues then enter your admission ticket into the fastpass machine and a ticket will be generated for your to return and bypass the queue. It's a free service so make use of it and fill up the time watching a show or visiting another attraction and that way you will make the most of your time at Disneyland.
Shows and Parades are not to be missed and make sure you get a good place at the front if you want some good photographs to return home with the parades start at Main Street USA and the streets tend to be closed off about an hour before the parade is due to start and this is normally the best time to grab a drink and relax before they start.
The park is immaculate there is never any rubbish to be seen as it is quickly swept up

...is supposed to be about Disneyland, so let me get back on track.
We got a 3 day pass - you don't have to use it on consecutive days! This also lets you in one hour earlier on one day.
Right from the start though you are into the queues. Firstly you have the bag check to allow you in to the main concourse - very variable some people used a torch to check out every nook and cranny, others didn't interrupt their conversations of the night before with ... ...bag.
After this you move into the main queue zone (it probably has another name). Herbie is sitting there and huge plasma screen TV to encourage you to go to the less popular California Adventure park. For Disney land itself, the queues start early. Even with your early pass, you will probably queue for about 20 minutes before you get through the gates - and that wasn't in the height of the season. Once in you do feel like you have entered another ...

Advantages: Great place make dreams come true! Disadvantages: Queues can happen
Ever since I was a little girl it has always been a dream of mine to go to Disney land, so with my trip to LA planned it was a perfect opportunity to go to the place "Where dreams really do come true" As soon as we walked through the gates the magic started, the hairs on the back of my neck stood on end as I walked up the Main Street with the wonderful fairy tale place in my sights, it really was an amazing feeling to be in Disney land!! With so ... ...where to start your journey but thankfully Disney is laid out by different zones for example, Frontier Land, The magic Kingdom etc so you can easily go from one to another without missing anything out. A lot of people think that Disney is just for kids but it really isn't, all of the rides where designed so that adults can also join in as well, we learned that Walt Disney wanted it to be a place for everyone to enjoy, and to share the delights with ...

Disney,s newest park in southern California, right next door to it 's famous other park Disneyland.
Both parks share the same entrance and are in the City of Anaheim about 30 miles south of Los Angeles. One really needs the minimum of a two day pass to see the best of both parks.
I shall not quote prices as tickets are available at a number of prices, buying online is generally cheaper. As I stated in my other review on Anaheim I buy southern California ... ...3 seperate occasions, along with a host of other parks.
Well what can I say about Diney,s latest creation, well er
its like this I first visited this park in 2003 with my family, and after having visited Dineyland were a little disappointed with the Adventure park, however its a bit of an aquired taste as we discovered in 2004.

Advantages: Brilliant for a Halloween trip Disadvantages: Never go anywhere on your own at night - not even to the car park - or the front door!
Anaheim is on the outskirts of LosAngeles and is the place where.... DISNEYLAND is ... Yes! As I shook hands with Goofy, and then opened Roger Rabbits door (that really does shock you!), that's when reality goes flying out the window and welcome to the world of make believe!
Needless to say that Dineyland was awesome!
Anaheim is alright, just really because Disneyland is there.
I last was in Anaheim for Halloween, and as I was sitting in a cafe and eating the really syrupy pancakes.... the radio station had said that the first 100 people to come dressed up in Halloween costume were allowed in free... so as you can imagine there were witches, frankensteins, ghosts.. all with really wicked costumes walking down the road enroute to Disneyland!
Great!
(They must've really gotten changes quick!)
PS: IF YOU ARE GOING ...
Disneyland is a once in a life time opportunity. Though now scattered across Europe, the orginal Disneyland is in LosAngeles California. The prices are very high in the gift shops, restaurants and cafes, and especially ticket prices. To see parades and/ or shows, you have to be ready more than a half hour in advance. The entire park is infested with people every single day during the summer, and almost always during the year as well.
Even though the disadvantages to disneyland are overwhelming, there is still the magic that this park holds. Wonderful rides, your favorite characters walking around, and just a smile on your face is what you should expect. Though the pricing and crowds drive me crazy every time I go, I still think it worth at least one visit. ...

Advantages: Mickey mouse?! Disadvantages: lack of space
I have now visited both the Florida Disneyworld and LosAngelesDisneyland and I think that Walt Disneyworld is the better of the two. This park is much smaller than I expected and because of this, most of the rides and attractions are squashed into a small space and it feels very crowded.
I was 17 when I visited so most people would say the magic is lost on me. But even my parents understand and apreciate what Disney tries to achieve. In this park there is still magic and alot of rides to chose from, but due to its size I cannot see how they can add anymore rides and thus some will lose out.
The original park, similar the Magic Kingdom is certainly for younger members, with child friendly rides and parades. As you would expect the park was extremely busy in August and some of the rides in this park had been shut. For us this was ...
