I went for a weeks holiday in France in Octobr, of which my family and I visited Euro Disney twice.

We had a two day pass which worked out at about £44 per adult and £33 per child aged three and over. Under 3's go free.

We drove there and didn't have much trouble finding the park. But I was suprised when we pulled into the car park to find it was about £4.50 to park your car there for the day. Theme parks in England let you park for free.

We arrived fairly early at around 9.50am. The park opens at 10am in October.

There are long conveyor belts that you can stand on (like the airports) to take you nearer the entrance and to save your feet. You need it I can assure you. However these stop a long way before the main entrance. And you have to walk a long way past the Disney Village with lots of restaurants and shows in it and the Eurostar terminal to get to the main entrance.

Finally I thought we are here so we got our tickets out as we had bought them in England prior to going. And we had two buggys with us. The attendant was very helpful he took all of our tickets passed them through the machine and let us go through the doors as a group.

Once inside you can feel the magic of Disney. You are at the start of Main street with Horse drawn carrages to take you up the street or old fashioned cars. And there are lots of Disney shops and cafes on each side of the street. Directly in front of you is sleeping beauty's castle. We decided to walk along the street. So we could take it all in.

At the end of Main street just before we got to Frontierland we met Pluto. He was there every morning and you queued to see him. It was a fast queuing system and the children had bought EuroDisney autograph books to get his signature which he did and they loved. Then they had their photo taken by me and a professional. The professional photo was around £6.90. Worth it for the souvenier.

Further along the road we met. Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Chip n Dale the Chipmunks, and they were all having photos and cuddles and giving autographs. They were all very friendly and made alot of time for the kids.

We then visited frontierland which for the benefit of October became Halloween Land. With Thunder Mountain (runaway train)Phantom Manor (Haunted House Ride), The Mummy boat (takes you on a ride around the Thunder mountain)various shops and other activities.

Then there was Fantasyland. My favourate and a favourate with the kids. They have Dumbo elephant rides, Pinoccios adventure ride, carossel, Mad Hatters T cup ride, Alice's Maze and many other shops and attractions including Its a Small world boat ride and another boat ride and train ride for smaller children.

Then came Adventureland. Here you could climb a treehouse, become a pirate and play on the pirate ship and adventure playground. You could go across a rope bridge or have a look round in skull rock. They had the Pirates of the Carabean ride here also which was a boat ride. Won't spoil it for you and tell you too much but you can also sit and have a meal in a restaurant here and watch people go past on the ride. Very good. Also there was the Peter Pan ride which unfortunately we didn't get to see as it was closed for maintenance. And the Indiana Jones ride (backwards rollercoster) this was brilliant. But you have to be 4ft 7 to go on it and over 7 yrs old.

The last of the lands was Discovery Land. It had rocket rides, Simulators including one which was a star wars ride (only french speaking though so get your dictionarys out) and Honey I shrank the Audience. Which I loved but my older sister of 32yrs came out shaking and was not impressed (3d glasses are worn so if you are of a nervous nature do not go on this one) They also had Space Mountain which was a loop de loop roller coaster in the dark fantastic. You have to be 4ft 7 to go on this one also.

There were also many shops and restaurants here too.

My favourate was the Buzz Lightyear Planet Pizza restaurant right next to the Honey I shrank the Audience. The prices were extremely reasonable and you got to meet all of the characters from Toy Story 2 and have your picture done with them. There was also an indoor play area for the kids. With slinky dog being a slide.

Finally I come to the parades. While we were there, they were showing one at about 3.30pm and one at around 6.30pm. The earlier one was all of the disney characters such as Beauty and the Beast, Aladin and Snow White. The characters wave to you on their way past. If you want to get a good view get to the road side in Main street around 20 minutes early to find yourself a place and wait.

The evening parade for October was a Halloween one. The kids loved it and the music was great so much so we bought the CD single of it. The characters (mostly baddies) came up to the children. I liked Cruella De Ville the best.

And I nearly forgot at the end of the evening just before closing time they had a fireworks display all around the castle to music and the castle was lit up in lots of different colours. It was amazing.

You definately need two days or more to see everything and I would love to go back. We got lots of the souveniers as the shops in Disney were cheaper than in the towns outside of it in France.

You have to go!
