My husband and I (ages 29 and 31) took my sons who are 3 and 5 to Disneyland the day after Boxing Day. Off Peak time being January but would hate to think what it would be like in Spring or Summer. Very busy indeed for the time of year and you literally had to shuffle in places to get through the crowd! The weather was freezing cold, very windy and very wet which didn't help matters. The whole place is very flat, no pot holes ie a lot of surface water so we were all drenched within an hour. There wasn't much to do for little ones, you had to be over 4ft to go on Space mountain or Thunder mountain!!
The whole place is done up really nicely, worth going just to have a look at what's about. Really colourful and just like being in a picture book. The Parades are brilliant too and well worth watching so long as you stake your place about half an hour before its due to start.
The children loved 'its a small world' its a ride on boats through different countries depicted by dolls, music is quite annoying but it is very colourful and great to look at. We went on one of those flight simulators for Starwars and that was absolutely brilliant, although my 3 year old got very scared and didn't enjoy it al all. The studios I found, were the best bit. The Studio Tour was brilliant and the effects there amazing, highly recommended and the queue moves fast. The stunt show was enlightening and explains how they do the stunts and everything, it lasts about an hour but is action packed!
Still pleased we went, it was an experience. Would have been better if weather had been kinder and also if there were more rides.
