I have just recently came back from Disneyland ParisResort. Well what can I say WOW. What a fab time was had by all the family.
This was a family trip which included a range of ages from 18 months to a grand old age 60 year old. And I am pleased to say that there was something for all the ages concerned. I would say that the 2 very young ones did come a litle restless from waiting in ques. And yes some of these ques were a fair wait. Ranging from 30mins to 70mins. But the 6yr old throughly enjoyed every minute even the new Hollywood Hotel Terror ride.
This is not a cheap holiday places I would advise if you are to go take more than enough cash, as things are very expensive. But never the less its is worth while going. The resturants in the parks themselves mainly consist of fast food which is alot more expensive than usual. Also if the weather is fine I would advise to take own juice or pop as these prices are quite inflated. There is however the odd waterfountain dotted around the park that are available free of charge. The village does offer some cool resturants such a an american diner, planet hollywood and also a tex-mex resturant. They even have a sports bar that has a games room and also a discotec which is on at certain nights.
The park consists of 2 parts, the studio part which has more of the tricks of the trades which goes on in the movies, the Armegaddon was fab showing the special effects in the moive and even giving the experenice of the explosions in the space which was excellent. They also had a stunt show with cars/bikes which did involve some fireworks. Even Herbie makes an appearence. There are a few rides in this park but the main lot of rides are in the other park. If you go for the rides would suggest you get a fast track ticket as these allow you big thrill rides with out the need to stand in the ques. Which at times can be very long. This is the biggest of the two parks but the studio have more in the way of showing things than the ride side of the park.
Both parks have parades going on but I would suggest you get you programme and check which parades you want to see and get there early as these get extremly busy. Also a map of the parks is available and are very informative, and these also come in several langues which is very helpful. You often see the character around the park going from place to place but they are always surrounded by lots of people so if you are wanting a photo with your favorite character I suggest you find out where they have there photo shoots and go get in line. They do have a photographer there and these photos can be purchased at the outlet at the front of the park but again these are very expensive but you can take your own once you arrive at the character.
We stayed in a hotel just outside of the park itself. Val da' europe was the name and it does have a few shuttle bus that goes from the hotel straight to the park itself. These run frequently but they do getting very very full. But the park is only a 25-30 minute walk and to be honest it was quite nice to walk nd chillout after the hectic days they are in te park before going for something to eat at the resturants in the shopping mall which was literally across the road. But I must say even through that even though we were out of the park the food was any cheaper.
All in all I would reccomend this as a holiday to anone and would return as some point. Suggestion would be to wear very comfortable shoes as there is alot of walking, also take a waterproof as when it rains it can rain.
