The small Derbyshire village of Eyam is most famous for its association with the bubonic plague in the 17th century. The plague was brought here from London in 1666 via infected cloth and within just a few weeks over half of the population of Eyam had died. Many people are drawn here by this moving story and those that know the story well will know that that the Church of StLawrence that stands in the centre of this pretty village is paramount in the story.
When the plague struck in 1666 the Church had already been standing for almost five centuries. However in those days it was dedicated to St Helen and was not renamed until around 1900. Advantages: friendly people, rooms, pools, public areas very well looked after, different themes everyday Disadvantages: food variation... but what was out was tasty!

They also do different tours every day to local attractions which look good, but we didnt do as only there for a short time.
We did ...

I would like you to spare a thought for those who lost their lives in such a tragic event and those who lost everything they owned.
There are many different islands offering many different holidays. For a impartial view on all holidays I suggest you buy RESORTS oF THE MALDIVES by Adrian Neville
